we got upgraded when we checked in, and honestly it was such a treat. our room was very comfortable, not noisy at all, and considering the location was so central, this was a pleasant surprise.
there is a lovely smell in the reception area.
no face cloths in the bathroom, and our shower could have done with a door, I was using the handheld shower head rather than the waterfall head, and it was very difficult to not create a mess.
sign on the outside of the building was tiny and hard to find when we arrived late at night, the writing was very small.

Lobby is beautiful, rooms are clean and a decent size. Fridge and safe in room for use. Walkable location for venues and restaurants.
Noisy location (ground floor), room in need of re-painting and carpets are marked and worn in hallways. Flickering light in room.

Lovely hotel next to the tram stop in St Peter’s Square. Comfortable room and great breakfast which was very good value at £10 per head if booked the night before.
Our room was perhaps a little too warm given the current rise in temperature.

Very convenient location, comfortable bed and very good breakfast. Definitely recommended.
Only two minor flaws:
- the sink was a little bit narrow so water would spill on the floor when washing our face
- the walls were quite thin and during the night we got woken up by our (loud and drunk) neighbors
