Wonderful
We traveled to Manchester for a Stevie Wonder concert and arrived early in the morning. We checked in and immediately got our key which was wonderful (room quite big). The lady at the reception also borrowed us an adapter to be able to charge our phone (forgot to bring one EU/England). After the concert i enjoyed a perfectly made Amaretto Sour from the hotel bar :-) Finally, breakfast was very nice especially the special egg choices from the menu that are included in the price.
In the morning there was a fire alarm, we don't know why.

Bed is bit small for couple. My husband is 6ft 4inches tall.
The air-conditioning was not working well. The room I was hot and stuffy. I sweated through out the night and the room had a small window which did not circulate the air at all.
Therefore we both did not rest well at all after we were on the road for nearly 5 hours and had to do the same the next day!
Disappointed.

It is a nice hotel, clean, great location and helpful staff. The breakfast was super :)
The stairs leading into the reception area are extremely high and thus very hard to use for people with crutches. Also the ac is a bit wonky. We were on the fifth floor, during the hear wave and could barely breathe in the room and sleep. The windows could open but ever so slightly so there was really no air.

The location is great and so are the common areas.
The rooms and bathrooms are very dated. We were there for the Oasis concert so clearly price was not representative but definitely hugely overpriced for what it is.

The staff were friendly, welcoming and casual in a good way. They looked to be enjoying the hotel and working there which is a good sign. The bed was massive and the room comfortable. The breakfast was plenty and varied with a good separate egg menu which i didn't partake of but looked very nice (scramble eggs with Salmon.. etc). Parking was close by at the Q car park with a discount. Overall a very enjoyable stay over with my 2 children.
Limited beers at the bar (only small gripe..no Guinness), but that's it..
