Short stay for a night. Clean facilities and room was ready on time.
Has a bar and restaurant area or somewhere to work in the lobby.
Can keep the bags after you check out.

I’ve stayed at the Alan many times and this visit we were given a small room on the 6th floor. Very dated and small, the room cost was more than I normally pay so very disappointed

I don’t normally write reviews as I didn’t actually have a horrible experience. I just want to flag a few issue I had which I should have flagged but due to the nature of my trip being quick I didn’t have time to address them.
1. I booked the hotel on the bases of having a nice room and I was given an old room which wasn’t up to scratch.
2. As I was in an old room there was no smart TV to watch or to even call for reception as there was no phone. So at time of check out which I would have called I got a loud thumb on the door to say check out, which I was already ready for. Just a little unwarranted and when I said I would have called but there’s no phone the gentlemen said yeah I know there no phone but he was fine he was just doing this job.
3. Even though the price was okay I paid more than what got said to me in my confirmation.

The staff were very lovely and tried to help us as much as they could.
-the horrible smell of sewage in the two rooms we were given (changed our first room due to the smell however the second room was just as bad).
-the pillows were like sleeping on a bag of bricks.
-got woken up at 7am (by construction work directly opposite the hotel - not a soundproof hotel.

Great sized room on 6th floor. Slightly concerned by the direct view into the offices opposite (and vice versa!) But nothing the curtains couldn't correct :) Lovely and very helpful staff.
Not a problem for me, but access from the pavement into the hotel lobby could be difficult for anyone with access needs.

Useless staff....
Booked and paid for a twin room with two single beds for two grown men.....gave us a room with a double bed and a glorified cot...the cot bed was 5 foor lo g the man was 6 ft....asked the children staff to sort it out..they did nothing....this hotel is not a 4 star hotel its a joint run by inexperienced children....dump

Clean and not noisy.
Bed was very uncomfortable. We had to change rooms for the 3rd night as there was no hot water in the shower or taps. We flagged this in the morning but nothing had been rectified when we returned in the evening.
