Built in 1876 The Black Lion Hotel Manchester Hotel is a brand new refurbished Manchester themed hotel that boosts 13 luxury themed bedrooms of iconic streets and buildings that Manchester has to offer. Located in the perfect spot for the city-goers, we are a 10-minute walk from the Manchester Arndale Shopping Center and a short walk to Victoria train station, the local metro links, and the AO Arena, which is approximately a 10-minute walk away. We have an amazing connection to CO-OP Live Arena via car, approximately 15 minutes, or via tram, approximately 12 minutes. The 13 brand new swanky rooms are individually furnished, and come with free Wi-Fi, flat-screen Smart TVs with Netflix streaming, tea and coffee making facilities, heating controlled system, king-size beds and walk in showers. The hotel offers 24-hour hotel access, key card access and night porters are at your call if needed. Please note that there is no elevator at the property and no ground floor rooms. Our traditional pub downstairs serves a gastropub menu and a list of your favorite drinks!

Brilliant breakfast My second stay, recommend the Eggs Benedict
The room was a little cramped, but as I was alone, it didn't matter, the bed was a double, but without access to one side. A minor thing The light switch didn't work from the bedside, again not a major issue

Everything, the place is amazing and so clean
How other residents were not respectful of us, who ever stayed on our floor was very very loud and I was not happy about that

Really liked the location, the staff were very nice. And the much commented on breakfast was really good. Very well priced and would definately return there if going to Manchester again.
Minor, minor niggle and to be honest if you weren't expecting a bit of noise from the pub in the evening. Then kinda naive. All said, I slept well both nights I spent there.

I was disappointed with my stay. The room was very noisy, making it difficult to get a good night's sleep. The reception staff were not welcoming or friendly, which made the overall experience less pleasant. I was also surprised that the hotel charges guests to store their luggage. In addition, the checkout time is too early and feels inconvenient. To make matters worse, the shower and pillowcases were not clean, which is unacceptable. Overall, I would not recommend staying here unless these issues are addressed.

Breakfast was nice, the bed was comfortable. The shower was a good size great temperature and pressure and the shower gel smelt lovely. I really like the addition of a fan in the room as this was needed to cool the temperature down. Location was also good.
There was a partially broken blind in my room that let the light in and the toilet flush was a little weak with a lose trigger.
