Built in 1876 The Black Lion Hotel Manchester Hotel is a brand new refurbished Manchester themed hotel that boosts 13 luxury themed bedrooms of iconic streets and buildings that Manchester has to offer. Located in the perfect spot for the city-goers, we are a 10-minute walk from the Manchester Arndale Shopping Center and a short walk to Victoria train station, the local metro links, and the AO Arena, which is approximately a 10-minute walk away. We have an amazing connection to CO-OP Live Arena via car, approximately 15 minutes, or via tram, approximately 12 minutes. The 13 brand new swanky rooms are individually furnished, and come with free Wi-Fi, flat-screen Smart TVs with Netflix streaming, tea and coffee making facilities, heating controlled system, king-size beds and walk in showers. The hotel offers 24-hour hotel access, key card access and night porters are at your call if needed. Please note that there is no elevator at the property and no ground floor rooms. Our traditional pub downstairs serves a gastropub menu and a list of your favorite drinks!

The staff are absolutely brilliant in here. Kayleigh and Abbie always offer super service, remember me from previous visits and even remember what I drink. The welcome is always warm, the rooms are clean and comfortable and if you go on a weeknight there is always something going on - darts, pool, quiz night or football on the television.

On a night when the Brits inflated all hotel prices in Manchester this was a fine spot to stay. Clean, comfortable, good temperature, good location
Breakfast coffee was instant. Breakfast food was far from instant but very good when it finally arrived

Excellent spot, staff were all very helpful and friendly. Great value for money! Have to mention the little kebab place just around the corner "The Good Father" best kebab ever! Food in the black lion was excellent too! :)

Room was clean, staff were amazing, friendly, welcoming, one of the bar staff lent my partner a hair band because she'd forgot to pack one and the poor guy who did the night shift had to deal with myself and my insomniac fiancé going out till 4am for cigs. So again, great experience, definitely staying here again when I'm in Manchester next (if they'll have us that is)

Lovely, large room. Very clean & modern with top quality coffee maker and large bathroom and shower. Excellent breakfast with varied choices. Excellent value for money. Near reasonably priced parking and only 1 minute walk to the Arndale Shopping Centre. Would definitely recommend and return.
