Built in 1876 The Black Lion Hotel Manchester Hotel is a brand new refurbished Manchester themed hotel that boosts 13 luxury themed bedrooms of iconic streets and buildings that Manchester has to offer. Located in the perfect spot for the city-goers, we are a 10-minute walk from the Manchester Arndale Shopping Center and a short walk to Victoria train station, the local metro links, and the AO Arena, which is approximately a 10-minute walk away. We have an amazing connection to CO-OP Live Arena via car, approximately 15 minutes, or via tram, approximately 12 minutes. The 13 brand new swanky rooms are individually furnished, and come with free Wi-Fi, flat-screen Smart TVs with Netflix streaming, tea and coffee making facilities, heating controlled system, king-size beds and walk in showers. The hotel offers 24-hour hotel access, key card access and night porters are at your call if needed. Please note that there is no elevator at the property and no ground floor rooms. Our traditional pub downstairs serves a gastropub menu and a list of your favorite drinks!

Everything! The staff are absolutely fantastic especially Kayleigh who looked after me and made sure I had everything I wanted, she's an absolute star foods great and you get a good pint of Guinness second time I've stayed here and I'll be back soon, can't fault it

The property was excellent, extremely clean, fantastic location and so so friendly. The breakfast choice was great and tasted wonderful. The rooms were a fantastic size.
The pillows were a bit flat but I’m sure if I asked they would have given us extras.

Checking in was easy, helpful staff, in the morning when we went down for breakfast the chef had called in sick but it wasn't a problem as the staff member directed us to their sister hotel where we were looked after. Even let us check out late due to the inconvenience

When we arrived we were shocked at the state of the place, the walls are so thin, we could here the pub below when going to sleep and were woken by people above us getting ready. The room was also tiny, considering the room was called the “Deluxe king room” it was tiny and you couldn’t walk around the bed. The room was also battered with features like the toilet and doors being of such a low quality and not fitted very well, they felt like they were borderline breaking. Additionally the bed was springy and uncomfortable and the pillows, duvet and towels were all low quality. The staff were nice enough when we spoke to them but the room itself was shocking, especially considering this is listed as a 4 star hotel
