Rooms was nice a bit small but lovely . The bed was a little too soft for us but ok . The shower was to hot didn’t know how to turn it lower

Stayed at Black Lion quite a few times now and would never stay anywhere else in Manchester/Salford. Hotel is always clean, staff very helpful and the food is good too. Perfect location for shopping, bars and places to eat.

I had a very pleasant stay at the Black Lion Hotel Manchester. The location is excellent, close to the city centre and Manchester Victoria station, making it very convenient for both business and leisure trips.
I stayed with my colleague Jonathan while attending a trade show in Manchester, and the hotel was perfect for our business trip.
We were warmly welcomed by Ed and Kaleigh at the front desk, who were both professional, friendly, and always happy to help. A special thanks as well to Madison from housekeeping, who was incredibly kind and made sure everything was spotless throughout our stay.
The room had everything we needed, including coffee and tea facilities, as well as an iron. It was very clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The bed was excellent, and the pub downstairs gives the hotel a lovely authentic English atmosphere.
The breakfast was good, and overall the hotel offers excellent value for money. I would definitely stay here again when visiting Manchester.

The room was not very clean (there was hair in the toilet) and the music from downstairs was extremely loud. Also, there was a doorbell right next to my room that rang many times during the night, very loud.

Friendly staff well majority were some lacked experience.The room was compacted but clean.
Breakfast let it down no replenishment of cereals and juice and milk ran out the breakfast station was monitored properly by staff to notice the simple things .

AMAZING breakfast and the nicest staff. Very close to the centar, train station and all the important attractions.
My only complain is that the room was a little bit colder than usual and we couldn't adjust the temperature so it was really chilly in the morning and at night.

Stayed at Black Lion Hotel Manchester for a couple of nights and honestly couldn’t fault it. The room was really clean, cosy, and much bigger than expected, with a super comfy bed. All the staff were lovely, especially the male receptionist who was an absolute cutie and exceptionally friendly — he really made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Breakfast each morning was excellent and the location was perfect for the AO Arena — only a short walk away. Would definitely stay again next time we’re in Manchester.
