Lovely and clean. Spacious bedroom, large shower. Comfy bed. Big fan to keep cool. Great location. 5mins walking distance to AO arena. Staff lovely and friendly. Can recommend the sharing platter, really tasty and lots of it. Breakfast was lovely, best eggs benedict I've had and hubby enjoyed his full English. Highly recommended and would definitely book again.

Great location, adorable, clean, comfy beds
It is above a pub and the walls and floors are thin and not very sound proof. Music didn't quiet till just after midnight.

Lovely room, great location, the staff were super friendly! The bed was very comfy, food was amazing! I love that breakfast was included, set us up nicely for our long drive home :)
The only negative was how loud the traffic is which is not at all the fault of the hotel, they even provide you with earbuds which is a nice touch! I sleep through anything so it really wasn’t that big of a deal for me

Swift check-in and stayed in the Hacienda room. Really spacious, spotlessly clean and had everything we needed i.e. iron and board, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. Really helpful and happy staff, with great local knowledge of eateries. Plentiful breakfast in the morning too. Thank you The Black Lion Hotel!

Great hotel, located well between Salford Central and Manchester Victoria. Very recently refurbished it seems, a spacious comfortable room. The staff were very pleasant and kind. Great stay overall, would definitely come again!

Warm and welcoming staff. Excellent room, very high standard. Very clean and well appointed. Food was good. Beer was excellent.

Location was good for what we needed the stay for
Most of staff were polite
Shape of the room was dreadful and not accessible at all. Scuff marks everywhere. Dust was awful, even the walls were covered in dust. One plug socket had a broken prong in it which is a fire and electrical risk. Could hear the room next door showering and the doors were constantly being slammed

The bathroom was nice and the shower was good.
Looked better in pics. Certain elements were shabby. Noisy location.

Room was very good and bed very comfortable, great shower etc. location was great and the car park across the road was very handy.
The room had very little sound proofing and as our room was on the first floor we could hear the music from the pub below very noisy until the bar shut.
