It was in a convenient location. Most of the staff were friendly.
Breakfast was buffet style , but Luke warm Hot food.
Service was very slow in the restaurant in the evening.
Had trouble with the online check in and couldn’t get through to the hotel until the afternoon of arrival, (then told it could be done at the hotel!)although tried various times and different numbers . And messaged via booking.com and Britannia website .

It was the worst hotel I have been in the room had not been cleaned since the 60s it's furniture had levels of dirt on that must have belonged to guests from years ago the only saving grace the bed looked fairly resent the bathroom had been cleaned but bath and sink were badly stained so avoid this hotel at all costs unless desperate

Disappointing
The entrance and reception looked okay.
The flush system was not working, which created a very disappointing and embarrassing situation after my partner used the toilet and couldn’t flush. We then had to wait several hours before being taken to another room to use a toilet, which had not been cleaned after the previous guest checked out. Overall, the service was extremely disappointing.

We stayed here as we were attended the Marathon and didn't want to be any where ne'er the city centre. Also hotels in the centre were twice the price. There is a metro station around a mile down the road that takes you in to the centre in around 20 minutes. The car park was very tight spaces and I can imagine in the height of the summer you wouldn't get one as people leave there cars here when going on holiday.Beer was cheap and the breakfast was buffet and reasonable price. As previous review's state the bathroom could do with an upgrade but were clean.
Car park needs a bit of TLC and very tight limited spaces
