The welcome was excellent. All staff extremely pleasant and helpful.
There was no ‘English breakfast tea’ in the room, but such a small thing but it didn’t ruin our stay in any way.

We were given an option of an upgrade at a price less than if we’d booked direct. A comfortable and luxurious space. There were spaces for dining and evening snacks/drinks that were comfortable and well maintained. The snack menu in the bar served good food. The hotel is in Theatre land and well positioned for a visit to several theatres in the vicinity.
The upgrade gave access to an Executive Lounge with complimentary snacks and drinks at allocated times - these were good. However, we tried the breakfast in the lounge and there was limited choice- no cereal, a boiled egg but no eggcup and a poor choice of hot food. Tried the breakfast in the main, opulent dining area the following morning and a frantic atmosphere. No one to register us to start, no available table, servers rushing around and nearly bumping into us with plates of food. The breakfast tea served was decaffeinated- not what we asked for- no milk served. Not a calm start to the day.
The room tea choice poor. Organic choices for those who like it but for traditionalists, one breakfast tea bag and no earl grey. Second morning - no replenishment of breakfast tea. There was a coffee maker but not our choice so reliant on the usual tea and coffee. If the food experience had been better then we would rate the hotel as 10.

Location great for the theatres and shopping, staff were wonderful, room comfortable and clean and quiet.
We liked everything- only criticism would be that the tea/coffee making facilities and tv in the room could do with an upgrade, it’s not cheap to stay here so a little more luxury would be nice

Location can’t be beat! Conveniently walking distance to many of the sights of cultural significance and steps away from many west end theaters. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was spacious, comfortable and quiet. Room had outlets for UK, US and European plugs so I didn’t need my adapter. Buffet breakfast at the hotel was very good, lots of selection of fresh, tasty hot and cold items.
One of the reading lights on the edge of headboard was missing a switch so that the only way to turn it off was to flip a switch that turned off power to all lights in the bedroom and bathroom.

Upgraded to king size and they washed the carpet beforehand. Had room service as i had a bad fall few days before so had walking stick and reduced mobility. Was seeing a show at Adelphi and they provided me with a male escort to walk me to theatre as could barely walk, as a widow had no-one to come with me.Also didn’t know which way to go.So excellent customer service.
Breakfast served in room wasn’t quite hot enough, forgot the toast but 1 piece sent up. All else good. Pleasant staff and very helpful especially Robert concierge. Will stay again and they told me it is being re-furbished starting 20 April.
