This is a classic up market London hotel, the sort of place you only go to if you want a real treat - in this case a birthday. It was also great from a location point of view - 10 mins walk from Charing Cross station and right next door to the Aldwych theatre, which was part of the birthday treat. There was nothing to not like. Breakfast was absolutely first class.

They made the effort to rectify the issues we had which is all you can ask,

The facilities show signs of age and needs repair, particularly the corridors to guest rooms.
Difficulty communicating with housekeeping despite requests made through the front desk for an additional bath towel and caffeinated coffee for the room brew.
