This is a unique place. A gem cut in the 1930s and as little changed as the insertion of some modern facilities allows
An excellent buffet breakfast was served. There was a lounge/bar with the bar open until late. And a pleasant shady garden. The staff were friendly and helpful and reception was manned 24 hours a day. The card for access to the room worked perfectly. The location is unbeatable: less than 5 minutes walk from Notting Hill Gate tube station and buses and close to Hyde Park and Portobello Road but quiet, with little traffic.
If it were not about to close it would be the only place in London I would ever stay at.
Actually nothing, except I shall not be able to stay there again as it is closing.
Some people might have missed air conditioning but I loved the windows you could open, wiith a view of gardens, and the room was perfectly cool
Only one lift is working and is vintage, with an outer wooden door and an iron lattice door that needs to be slammed firmly shut, and you read the floor numbers off the floor plinths as you go up. Of course I adored it.

Vincent House was absolutely perfect in every way. It was our first visit there and I couldn't fault it at all. It had so much to offer and was in a perfect location. We were very sad to learn that the property is closing at the end of August though as we were hoping to stay there next time we visit London. A little gem of a place that I'm sure will be sadly missed by many.

Very Good
Lovely relaxing garden, comfy bed, nice to have a fridge in the room. Clean and well equipped.
The breakfast was nice aside from the eggs being undercooked and the sausages were overcooked but everything else was good.

Location.
I'm gluten intolerant and the choice at breakfast was limited.

I really enjoyed my stay. The location is excellent, very close to the metro and in a safe area. The staff were friendly, the breakfast was good and hearty, and although the rooms were small, they were clean, cosy, and had everything you needed.
Nothing major! A few small improvements could make the room and overall stay even better, such as better placement of plug sockets. The curtains were a bit stiff to close, and a heavy chair was placed in front of the wardrobe, so we had to move it to access the drawers. Overall, though, we had a great stay.

This is such a wonderful and roomy place to stay for me in a 1930s very well looked after Art Deco apartment block. Location was superb to main road at end of the street, but quiet on site, there are the very frequent trains on the tube and buses, 5 grocery stores close by, plus charity shops galore in the next street, even the HOHO bus stop is nearby to do the huge tour of London! And a local post office too, which as I travel, there are less and less in Europe these days, so that was a bonus for me! Warm and helpful staff, comfortable bed and decent sized room with very generous storage, and a double door entry to your room, like it’s a porch, ( I assume for extra sound proofing) good hot and cold breakfast selection, and a large garden to go out and sit in amongst the shady trees. That is sooo rare. I loved having my windows open at night without worrying about safety. Guests can share in a lounge to sit and chat , or sit quietly on your own with a drink from the bar, play a game of billiards, and a separate laundry to use too! And of course Gigi the resident cat who even has their own room too. A secure and safe place to stay as well. When you’re a single woman on your own that was another bonus! Got to know some of the longer term residents too.
Not a lot to not like. Maybe the occasional arguing foxes at night, wanting to use the garden and not wanting to share!

This is the best place to stay without a doubt. It’s more like home from home than an hotel.
I have stayed here many times and will continue to do so.
Quiet leafy area of Notting Hill, great transport links be it bus or tube.
Rooms are very clean and comfortable with daily maid service,
Staff are friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is great with choices to suit all.
Plenty os shops within reach and the lovely Portabello Rd market just around the corner.
There is nothing to dislike.
