Good, central location
Lifts don’t work, dirty bathrooms, hole in the floor, unhelpful staff, didn’t want to provide water, no room service. Expensive for very poor service

Very centrally located
The extra bed was broken. Not checked prior to our stay and had been so for a while which was indicated by a member of staff. Well corrected afterwards though.

Wonderful
The property was nicely decorated, clean with comfortable mattresses. All of the hotel staff that we met were really kind, welcoming and made our stay a sheer pleasure. They knew a lot about the immediate area and answered our questions about how to find different locations that we wanted to visit. All in all we had a very enjoyable stay at Victory House.
We had an issue with the toilet getting blocked and the key cards failing to work. Both problems were rectified straight away. There was an overwhelming very strong smell of air freshener in the seating area to the left of the bar on the ground floor which prevented us from drinking coffee we had bought at the bar. We had to take our drinks up to our rooms.

I loved first of all the location of it (10/10)- you are at the heart’s centre minutes of walking to every important landmark and famous streets like Oxford and Piccadilly, plus chinatown is literally behind the hotel. Many transportations can be found nearby as well.
Secondly the room is right as it was pictured- very spacious with a big shower. Everything was very clean and well put. We would get new water bottles renewed each day with cookies, coffee and tea. We were told that the cleaning was done in the afternoon but we did not mind since we were out anyways during this time.
I also read that for some you could not turn off the heating system but we did not have problem with it. And the room was not stuffy.
Elevator- some people said it did not work, actually only the light of the buttons did not work but the elevator itself operated well or maybe they fixed it…
Breakfast- your standard hotel breakfast but much cheaper than outside and it is just near you at the hotel so it is pretty convenient. I would say it has a good variety of food so there is plenty to chose and eat from (even if you are vegetarian)- you get bacon, eggs, jams, cheese, bread, vegetables, fruits, yogurts etc. I would recommend trying we ate there twice and it was splendid.
Can’t think of anything particular. Everything was wonderful and suited us well.

The location was great for getting around. Close to everything.
2 lifts with only 1 working. The 1 working didn't always stop at the floor. the pillows were terrible. the fan in the bathroom was really loud. Some of the staff could have been more helpful.

Very Poor
Location only
I was scammed €900 by someone who knew all details of the reservation. Hotel never bothered asking!
- No hot water in shower
- Bed is very very small - I had to sleep in the sofa NOT sofa bed but sofa since the is really uncomfortable and risk of falling down when you turn. It’s for 1 person and a half. Not to fall you need to sleep in the middle!
- room not cleaned everyday - cleaning time is almost at 18.00 when done
- stains in sheets and towels (yellow stains)
- one lift not working (out of 2) without any notice of it. Stuck at level 3 for whole period of 5 days
- extra bed is a bed that folds in itself when you sit on it
- No wardrobe - we had to out all out stuff in the floor and on the chair
Water and coffee are not supplied but this is not so important at the end.
We felt really bad! We didn’t move because it was new year and I didn’t want to cause problems! That’s the reason I stayed!
