If you view Hannah Ricketts YouTube review this is a very accurate reflection of the hotel..I wish I had watched it before booking.
Having stayed at many luxury hotels in the UK ie Balmoral Hotel, Edinburgh, Gleneagles and the Old Course Hotel, St Andrews this one fell short of a 5 star hotel. In particular the pool area was disappointing and the sauna is located separately one in the male and one in the female changing areas.. When checking out the reception asked how our stay was..we were there for 4 nights, I replied 'fine' based on this response i would have expected them to prompt further... I would not stay at this hotel again.

Beautiful property, very clean, excellent staff.
The grill was over priced. £418 for an evening meal for 2, was very excessive. The bottle of wine was £80, the very same bottle is being sold in waitress is £10.98!! We paid £1400.00 for a river view but did not get one!

The staff were absolutely amazing, they went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. I'd advised on my booking that we were celebrating my partner's 50th birthday and I particularly liked how much effort the staff made to ensure he felt special, from the room upgrade to the note and gift left in our room on arrival. The hotel was incredible and a perfect stay when visiting the Kit Kat Club. I would definitely recommend it 1000%.
There was nothing I didn't like, only that I wished we could afford to stay longer!
