We are replacing the Thames Foyer with Savoy Lounge. The beautiful new space will seamlessly integrate contemporary style while remaining true to our much loved heritage. Innovative menus, carefully crafted by our talented culinary team, will entice you in showcasing traditional recipes with a modern twist. Lovely breakfast and atmosphere… lovely staff Although I had ate my breakfast by the time my mum had received hers Not sure what happened but I had to ask them where my mums breakfast was
Didn’t realise there was an accommodation service charge an additional charge on top of the price we paid As all the drinks had service charge and vat on so didn’t really understand why that wasn’t explained to us really

Location is brilliant, rooms are lovely,
Having stayed once before we found this year some of the staff were very abrupt, we were turned away from one of the bars for lunch, the staff member looked me up and down and assumed I was not suitable, until my wife said we were staying in the hotel, them amazingly we were then offered a table. At dinner we were left waiting 10 minutes before being shown to table, you would expect to be taken to your table much sooner, no where to sit to wait and not even asked if we wanted to wait at the bar and have a drink, you just stand in the corner. At breakfast I ordered my eagerly waited for Arnold Bennett, it arrived and it was so overcooked it was stuck to the pan! Dissapointing, told the waiter and he just mumbled, ordered another coffee and it took 25 minutes to arrive, so service wasn't the best. Minor issues i know but when you pay the big money your paying for service.

The room was very nice, comfortable and roomy. The view was of side streets, which was very noisy and you had people swearing and shouting into the early hours of the night and at 5am in the morning
The noise and the F word regularly. We was not shown or explained where any of the facilities were. They allowed a couple to come into the American Bar Christmas eve with pyjamas and slippers. The Christmas Day evening meal in The Gallery restaurant was not great. The fillet in the beef wellington was so tough that you even had trouble eating it with a steak knife. They bought our cheese and biscuits and desert at the same time.

This is without doubt the best hotel we have stayed in London. The Christmas decor was spell binding. The front desk were professional and couldn’t do enough to meet our needs. The property oozes class, charm and English Christmas spirit.
We did not receive a glass of fizz on arrival which would have been a nice touch however we did arrive three hours before the allotted checkin time and the hotel accommodated us on arrival. So to conclude I am not sure if a glass of bubbles is standard for those who check in at the correct time.
