Bed was firm and comfortable. Shower was good. Very good access to public transport.
Bed was hot at night, duvet was heavy. Lack of drawers available to really unpack.

Friendly staff. Nice atmosphere. Charming room. Comfortable lounge areas.
Poor water pressure and water controls in the bathroom. Low lighting made it very difficult to read in the room.

Everything was very nice and very classy. We very much enjoyed the tea service.
Our bathroom was downstairs in the suite. My wife was still recovering from a broken ankle so it was a little difficult to get to. The claw foot tub was divine though.

Location was phenomenal. Steps from Farrington brings you to circle line and elizabeth line and a straight 40 minute shot to gatwick for £20.
Quiet side street with lots of nearby eateries, some open quite late! Room really was soundproofed. Great bed, full of character. Loved out little entryway and sitting room ( we had the jr. Suite)
The honor bars and mini bar were VERY reasonably priced. Breakfast was exceptional and on time every day we ordered it.
Housekeeping was AMAZING. Beds daily made, bathroom dried and aired as much as possible.
The bathroom was down a small flight of stairs and featured a large bath with fixed showerhead that sprayed everywhere leaving a puddle regardles of how you messed with the shower curtains. Felt really bad for the housecleaning folks who really cleaned it well every single day. Could have been designed better, but water pressure was excellent and no problens with hot water.

Excellent historical property. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast. Rooms very quiet even though right on the street. So much like old London. So much better than a big generic hotel. Very easy to get to many attractions. We will stay here again next time we visit London.

The hotel is a trip to the 19th century; a beautifully decorated and cozy old London mansion. Each room is different in its furnishings. Every piece of furniture is remarkable antique. The staff was cordial and very helpful. The location is excellent; close to Farringdon tub as well as train stations. Walking distance from everything if you enjoy walking cities. Excellent bed.
Cozy and beautiful, but very impractical rooms, particularly the bathrooms, closets and the location of the electrical plugs, probably to be expected in an old London mansion.

It has so much character, and the boutique feel is lovely. The in-room breakfast feels luxurious, and the staff is so friendly.

Lovely hotel, I love the design.
Super nice stuff and very close to Faddingdon Station.
There are no elevators, it was a bit difficult for my old folks, but the stuff was super helpful with the luggage.

Every category was top notch. We did not utilize room service or rooms other than our own but they looked quite lovely. Our bed looked and felt amazing, local tv stations were available, and the tub was a fantastic treat each night we were there from all the walking we did. Very short walk to the Farringdon tube station which was so convenient. We had great access to other points of interest yet it was never loud or sketchy at night. Would absolutely stay here again. Very luxurious and filled with antiques and even though it was a beautiful old building from 1764, modern additions were available like USB-A ports next to (one side of) the bed.
If I had to come up with something, we didn't love how high off the floor the toilet was. I'm 5'5 so I like a lower toilet, but my husband is 6'2 and still felt the need to slide his suitcase under his feet to bridge the gap. We did notice that other toilets in London were very elevated so this probably isn't exclusive to The Rookery. Still an incredible establishment we absolutely loved.

I loved my time here. The staff was helpful and kind. Perfect for solo travelers, would absolutely stay again. The room was available early, and the single bed was more like a double. Very comfortable room.

Didn't love the tub/shower combo.

My daughter and I intended to be Princess and Queen for my 65th Birthday. And The Rookery did it. Amazing property. Wonderful area of town. Exceptional service. The Junior suite was truly a dream come true. Thank you so much.

Absolutely adorable hotel with a fun historical theme throughout and beautiful decor. Very close to the Farringdon underground stop.
While the sink design was in keeping with the design theme of the hotel, having separate hot/cold faucets is really not useful.
If you have joint issues, getting into the tub could be a challenge. There was no walk-in shower, just a handheld sprayer in the tub.

Lovely and friendly staff upon check in. Very helpful too and showed me around all of the facilities. Original room was lovely and cosy. However there was an issue with the loo so i was upgraded to a different room, which was just exceptional. And a free breakfast for inconvenience! Amazing hospitality.
Nothing I could fault really. Maybe a small kettle in the original room would have been nice for tea-loving drinkers.

I don’t like the bathroom format. I prefer the shower. Also, there should be a universal adapter for the outlet of electricity provided.
