Location is good
The hotel itself is stunning, but the check-in experience was disappointing. We were made to wait 20–25 minutes because of unnecessary bureaucracy, and the answers to my questions were unprofessional. The night manager even raised his voice at me — completely unacceptable for The Ritz. Later that night, despite my clear request not to be disturbed, I was called and woken up while sleeping. Staff urgently need proper training in guest relations. This is not the first time this happens in Ritz.

We went for the very special occasion of my husband’s 90th birthday. It was just wonderful, the young man Pierre who checked us in was absolutely delightful and our stay was as smooth as satin and as sweet as honey.

Absolutely wonderful. The Ritz is in Mayfair neighborhood which is one of the most upscale and opulent areas of London and this hotel deserves to be in Mayfair, simply because this it's very upscale and very opulent. Right from where you climb up the stairs to the reception area and then to your room, you feel like royalty. Mr Noor at the reception and Mr Louis at the concierge desk are the best. The entire reputation of The Ritz depends on the front end staff like Mr Noor and Mr Louis. The decor, the breakfast, the rooms, everything and everyone is just top-notch. A big bang for your buck.
There's nothing I didn't like, perhaps maybe just one thing. There are separate faucets (taps) for hot water and cold water in the sink, which means you either burn your hands in piping hot water or freeze your hands in ice cold water. I have seen this in many hotels in London. Instead of one faucet which has inlets of both hot and cold water (so you can adjust the temperature to your liking), they install two separate taps (faucets). The logic behind this weird design is best known to them. Apart from this, nothing really stands out. This hotel is one of the bestest I have stayed in, and they have gained a permanent customer in me.

This hotel maintains its lavish reputation. I love the traditional attire the staff wear and their exceptional standard of service. The hotel looks beautiful and the room was large which surprised me. The food was lovely too
This is a very expensive hotel, but compared to others in the same pricing category, I think this one excels for its standard and traditional British feel.

The breakfast was fantastic. We had afternoon tea on the first day which was the best afternoon tea I have ever had. Loads of choices. Evening meal and the dancers and band all excellent. Was situated in a lovely part of London where I had not stayed before and so lots to do and next to beautiful Green Park.
