Firstly, I have to mention the staff of the hotel. They were all so friendly and helpful, attentive without being over the top and nothing was too much trouble. While we were checking in, the young lady on reception offered to show us round the hotel as we hadn’t been before. It’s those little things that make such a difference. The hotel was clean and spacious with beautiful decor. The room was spacious and welcoming. I love the fact that we had a hand written card, welcoming us to the hotel from the managing director in our room on arrival. The breakfast was plentiful with lots of choice, all of which was fresh and delicious. We have stayed in a number of hotels in London over the years. For us, this has to be the best. It ticks all of the boxes for us and more. We will definitely be back very soon.
I really can’t think of anything.

Wonderful
It was my second time to the Montague on the Gardens. The staff is incredibly gentle and the hotel is really beautiful. If you like old english fashionable style, that's the hotel for you. I'll surely return. The position is good if you need to stay close to the British Museum.
To be honest, nothing:-)

Superb and attentive staff. Great location with the British Museum across the street and the Museum Tavern as well. Very comfortable beds and bedding. Very quiet at night. Excellent breakfast. I especially appreciated the Cumberland sausages every morning. Wonderful old world ambience. We'll definitely return.
The drink prices in the bar were quite high but hey! it's central London after all.

The staff were all so friendly and helpful.
The food in the restaurant was amazing
The room was immaculate and the little things made it so special - the chocolates in the room at night, slippers left out etc

Breakfast is amazing, they have a wellness room with treadmills etc which we didn’t use but a very nice touch. It was my partners birthday and there were little cakes in the room. Staff really friendly and helpful
Room was a little small considering we were apparently upgraded but that is my only comment!! Everything else is lovely

The service was superior. Special shoutout to Neil, the very amiable and competent manager and to Elembada (do?) in the breakfast room. The location was just excellent next door to the British Museum but also very close to public transport. The hotel has a very pleasant old world ambiance in the public and dining areas. The rooms were dead quiet with excellent climate controls and very comfortable beds and bedding.
Nothing, really.

Disappointing
The location and the loan of a umbrella
Breakfast poor quality very expensive in a cramped room. Old fashioned and very small bathroom.
