As a frequent traveler and a loyal Booking.com user for over 20 years, mainly staying in five-star hotels, I would like to share my experience with The Hari London, where I booked 4 Deluxe Rooms. The hotel is excellent in terms of location—quiet and elegant area—and the building is modern and stylish, though the elevators are quite small. Service is friendly and professional, and cleanliness is outstanding. However, soundproofing is poor, as door noises from nearby rooms can be constantly heard, which is quite disturbing. Also, the bathroom floors are not heated, and there are no towel warmers, making it less comfortable during cold seasons.
At checkout, a “service charge” was added and presented as if it were mandatory, even though the full amount had already been paid. The staff member mentioned there was a service charge and asked, “How do you want it to be settled?”, which clearly implied it was a mandatory fee. The employee made it seem as if this fee was obligatory and not at the customer’s discretion, so we approved the charge. Minutes later, we asked for clarification! After asking several times in different ways to get a clear answer, the responses were vague and evasive until it was finally confirmed that the charge was optional and subsequently removed. The way it was handled felt misleading and unprofessional. I strongly advise future guests to pay close attention to such charges, as many people might pay them thinking they are mandatory, when they are in fact completely optional. The hotel is elegant, beautiful, and clean, with an excellent location, and the staff are polite and friendly. However, the way the additional service fees were presented in such a misleading manner ruined the entire experience. We sincerely hope the management will review this practice to ensure transparency, fairness, and to maintain guests’ trust in such a prestigious establishment.

The location.
During my Checkout, the reception showed me a bill of 187GBP for my 8 nights stay which is practically a tip for the staff. He told me that it’s not mandatory but all the visitors who stay at the Hari hotel pay this accommodation bill to show their gratitude to the staff. Don’t get me wrong, the staff are excellent but the way they ask you to tip them in this way is not acceptable. They look like they try to rip you off before you leave. I wish this never happened so I can repeat my stay at The Hari Hotel.

The biggest issue was the £500 deposit. Even after many days and multiple follow-ups, the hotel failed to release the hold. They kept saying it was released, but my bank confirmed otherwise. This misleading communication caused a lot of stress and inconvenience. At checkout, I was also given an incorrect bill for over €180, which was later found to be a mistake. These experiences made me lose trust in the hotel

Amazing location, nice & clean room. Most of the staff are friendly and welcoming namely: Ali and Angelica. The relaxing goods they left at my room were amazing: the pillow spray and the calm salt. The food was tasty.
I stayed for an extended period and, unfortunately, found it lacking in comfort and hospitality for long-term guests. I often worked from the bar area on the first floor during the day, but sometimes felt like a not quite welcoming or comfortable space. What was particularly frustrating was being charged multiple times for items I didn’t order! Having said that, I’d still be happy to stay again nut not for work where I have to spend time working there.

This hotel is definitely worth going back to. The vibe from check-in to check-out was amazing. The staff was incredibly helpful and always ready to assist us before we even asked. The room had a large walk-in shower and toilet area. The Jo Love toiletries were really nice. The mattress was very comfortable, and the blanket was especially cozy. We had a great memory here and will definitely be going back.
The room I booked didn’t have a sofa by the window, as shown on Booking.com. I’m not sure if I stayed in the same room type I booked or not. However, the staff assured me it could be the same. Overall, everything was great though.

Great place to stay in however an additional fee was added to my bill on each day upon checkout so be aware of this although it wasn’t mentioned in the policy nor when I checked in.
