Wonderful
Jake and Rashed (spelling) at the front desk were fantastic as were the other team members.
The went above and beyond, offering me tips of where to eat, to go, printing out documents.
Professional, kind, competent and nice.
I spent more time speaking with Jake and he’s exceptional, knows how to connect and build trust with others.
The team overall at the front desk and in the hotel were stellar.
I overheard the manager (he was the person in change so I am not sure about his title) getting very upset with an external supplier but he did this loudly, in front of guests and his team.
It was unprofessional and made me and others feel uncomfortable. I spoke with one of the woman at the front desk as she was clearly uncomfortable. I suggested she give feedback to him letting him know that constructive feedback should be done privately and not in front of guests or other team members. Not is speaking loudly and disrespectful to another person would be permitted.
I’m in the leadership field which is why I am sharing this feedback. The leader may have been right about what he was upset about but he did it in a disrespectful manner in front of many. As a leader, one needs to role model the right behaviors. He would benefit from some constructive feedback as he was unaware of the negative impact he was having and creating an environment that was not comfortable for many..

Staff were very helpful and polite. Enjoyed our stay for the most part, room was a little noisy from the street traffic.
Maybe a small refrigerator in room.

Disappointing
It’s location was perfect.
The rooms were old and the heater/AC was really loud and the windows were broken. The hotel is very old and poorly maintained. Carpets everywhere and smelled bad.

Great location!! The Members Club is a plus and the staff is super friendly and kind.
Our visit was in winter so we really missed having a hair dryer in the room since we didn’t bring our own thinking that it is standard in most hotels.

Old world charm and appointments, cleanliness, location, breakfast, and especially the guest lounge.

Good
We were in room 402 the door opposite to us was the main entrance to the refurbishment works being carried out. At 8am, the workers started to move about and the door kept on banging!!! ITS SATURDAY MORNING!!!!!! We are hard working people who wanted a lye in and all we heard was the banging and then at 9am, the drills started OUTSIDE OUR DOOR!!!!!
Why sell the room when you know there are working in the area!!!!!! WHY NOT CUSHION THE BANGING DOOR AS THE WORKERS WERE TRYING TO BE QUIET!!!!
Delia on reception was very happy to deal with the issue and offered us £150 off the room and free drinks at the bar, which we accepted.
such a shame, and also I like the hotel bar, that why I picked it and there was a private function so not able to use it.
Annoying
Thanks Tim
