Beautiful hotel and the bed was possibly the most comfortable myself and my partner have slept in. Staff were extremely helpful and the breakfast was varied. The location was great for accessing the west end.

The hotel is perfectly located, almost right at Trafalgar Square, as described. The cleaning staff was very efficient.
You are actually not staying at The Grand! Surprise-surprise! For whatever reason, never explained, they check you in and place you at the Club, which is inside the same building but in a different wing. Whether it is better or not is impossible to say, but our room was small and well-hidden inside the corridors.

Location was excellent, just next to Trafalgar Square and virtually in the theatre district.
Tube just down the road and taxis easily available, if you like walking Buckingham Palace and Big Ben only a few minutes away.
Its a great location.
Hotel made no sense, Bar only took cards and very limited selection, there was a restaurant (think) but wasn't part of the hotel, beautiful old building but rooms were very small and certainly needed refurbishing, bed very comfortable but the biggest tv was on wall at end of bed which mad enough sense.

The location of the hotel is excellent for visiting all the main London attractions, for public transport and restaurants / bars
The room was a bit tired and the bathroom very small. Breakfast was reasonable however there was no breakfast tea available and the coffee from machine was not hot.

The staff were extremely friendly, polite, and very responsive. They handled all our requests incredibly quickly. We asked for slippers and they were delivered to our room almost immediately. We also requested our online delivery, and it arrived right away.
The location was also very central and excellent. The exterior of the building, as well as the lobby ceiling and walls, were beautiful.
The furniture in the room was quite old. The shower had a curtain, which did not feel very hygienic. There was also a noticeable smell in the corridors and in the rooms. Both the corridors and the rooms felt somewhat stuffy and poorly ventilated. Cleanliness could definitely have been better, and the bed sheets did not seem to be changed for several days. The worst part was the extra bed—it was extremely narrow and very uncomfortable.
The room lacked basic amenities—there were no slippers or items like cotton buds provided.
