Location, style and decor, great bar
Room was rather snug but to be fair was well appointed and decorated. Curtains would benefit from having black out lining as light creep comes through and around edges. AC kept turning off after a couple of hours which meant it was v hot during the night and required turning on again. Not great sound proofing as was able to hear voices from surrounding rooms in the early hours.

Wow!!! Hotel blew us away, incredible high standards and care. So clean. One of the staff even loaned my husband his cufflinks as we forgot them. Rooms and whole hotel are superb. Recommend to all. Literally around the corner from Albert Hall. Definitely staying again. A star!! Best hotel breakfast we have had too! Bar meal great too.

The location & the building are amazing. What's more amazing is the staff. Everyone so friendly, helpful & professional.
A beautiful comfy bed.
Room 311. Only one chair in the room. Kettle took some sorting out trying to use (cable all wound up underneath), very small amount of milk & teabags (only 2 bags). Mirror too high in bathroom for some people. Window restriction cable hanging off window.
Yes, we could have called staff for another chair or supplies but we were only there for one night & didn't want to add to their, already busy, workload as they were so kind.

The library was wonderful, the lift was great to have…
The high sided bath was a bit of a danger and the creative accounting with the final bill.

Gorgeous, opulent interior design, comfy beds (might be a bit difficult to get in to for smaller people though), lovely shower that kept the temperature well, very tasty breakfast, quick, kind and exceptional service, they took genuine interest and you felt seen and we even got complimentary museum tickets, it's a lovely area, with the Kensington Gardens right across the street, public transport is nearby, the bar held fresh milk for the tea, which was high quality and it was nice and quiet.
Breakfast was great, but the porridge was a bit underdone and watery. Which migh just be personal preference, but we like it a bit creamier, with the individual oat flakes no longer really discernible.

What a lovely hotel! We loved the beautiful Victorian decor with all of its whimsical touches in the common areas and our room. I also really loved the location, right by Hyde Park and Albert Hall, and close to a couple of major museums, but away from the crush of the tourist foot traffic. The Penhaligon toiletries were great; and the staff, particularly at the restaurant, were attentive and helpful.
Our particular room was a tad tiny; I stayed there with my child, and probably would have been less comfortable if my companion was an adult. I think it would have served me well to pay attention to the square footage while booking; I would have gladly booked a larger room at the same hotel.

The hotel is very close to the park, south Kensington, Harrods, basically everything you want from London. The staff is super friendly. My boyfriend and I visited London for my birthday and the team welcomed us with a piece of complimentary cake, and reserved the balcony room for us, which was very sweet. During our stay, all service is very high standards and we truly enjoyed our stay. Thanks and well done team!

Disappointing
Disorganised, quirky which is fine, staff obviously overrun.
Unusual extra billing for service on the room, on room service which wasn’t room service and was taking the bar to the tune of 15% which is all quibbled and incorrectly charged
Excessive charges for service which didn’t take place, staff charges for the room, staff charges for trade service for a whiskey taken at the bar and additional charge for living room surface which is again taken at the bar.
The additional charge is exceeded £50 on a £200 bill Felt like a cash cow and that was a little bit irritating otherwise rather quirky stay
