Nice and clean with great decor.
Booked with the lure of the rooftop bar. When we asked to go up they had a private party and it was out of bounds for guests. The bedroom was small and you couldn't walk round the bed, so had to wake up partner if I need the toilet in the night by climbing over her.

Great vibe, room was nice & clean. Bed was very comfy & ac worked fine great for our stay (high 70s/mid 80s while in London)

I booked the junior suite love the balcony aspect it was super spacious & lovely to have a coffee on in the morning when the sun was out
The staff on reception was a lovely guy seemed happy to help & happy to be there
I traveled from Leeds to have a nice evening with my partner it was set to be a hot week & I intentionally booked the hotel for the outdoor pool service - I had initially booked the art’otel but they messaged me saying the rooftop pool would not be available on the date of the booking due to a private event - so as you can imagine after checking numerous times with the virgin hotel team to go up to the top floor in our robes & swimwear only to it was full of men in suits was a shock & quite frankly I was very disappointed and also made to feel a little silly by the staff member on the pool top entry at that event. It was already embarrassing being there & have everyone stare but to be made to feel that way when zero communication about the pool opening times changing had been sent to paying hotel guest. Following the private on the pool floor - our suite was directly underneath the pool / bar area we woke up in the morning & there was bottles caps & cigarette butts on the balcony I can only assume they had been chucked over the side from the party guests

Overall an excellent hotel. The cocktail bar is unusual (in a good way). Our only gripe was in on a warm summer evening the roof garden was closed off for a private party. This wasn’t highlighted and doesn’t reflect well on the hotel management.

We had a lovely two-night stay at Virgin Hotels London-Shoreditch for my girlfriend’s birthday. The hotel itself is really nice, modern and has a great atmosphere.
The room was comfortable and nicely designed, although it was quite a bit smaller than I expected from the photos. One of the highlights was the steam room function in the room — such a great little touch and something we really enjoyed. The hotel also made the birthday feel special with a lovely cake and birthday message, which was a really nice gesture.
The main disappointment for us was the rooftop. On Friday evening we went up around 7pm hoping to have a drink before heading out, but it was closed for a private event. We tried again on Saturday afternoon around 3pm and it was again unavailable due to another private event. As hotel guests, we were disappointed that we didn’t get an opportunity to actually enjoy the rooftop during our two-night stay.
Overall, we enjoyed the hotel and would consider staying again, but I do think guests should be made more aware when booking if one of the hotel’s main facilities is going to have significant periods of private hire.

Room was nice, especially the bed and bedding
I contacted the hotel in advance of my stay to check we could use the rooftop bar and pool area.
When we arrived we were told this had been booked by a private function and no drinks or food or seating was available up there but could still use the pool.
When we got up there there were two 2 person tables and a small sunbed to share for the whole hotel which had obviously been taken. so until we stayed in the pool the entire time was not possible to enjoy, no food or drinks available either so would need to visit the local shop in our swimwear and come back up through the hotel.
The private function music was so loud it kept us up until 1am.
When we mentioned this to staff the next morning they did not apologies and just said basically well you still could use the pool so why are you complaining. very rude.
