I've stayed here several times over the past 20yrs. The location is excellent the West End.
The biggest letdown was the usually excellent bar and its staff. When we stayed on this occasion, the staff were not attentive. Sat at the bar for mid afternoon for at least 5mins, no other guests there. Several staff on duty, passed us by without acknowledging or welcoming us and after waiting I had to catch the attention of a member of them to request service. I actually asked if the bar was open and if they were serving?

On Arrival, staff we exceptionally helpful. The concierge was always available. Multiple people available at all times to give guidance on activities, tickets, taking luggage into storage etc. We had 2 rooms, and requested both be on the same floor, and this was facilitated. My sister checked us in, and mentioned that it was a stay in London for my birthday - Staff upgraded us to a slightly bigger room, and also left a birthday card with some chocolates in the room. this was a lovely touch. I also liked how the lifts worked and felt very secure with how these worked. The location is fantastic also. plenty options to get there.
The floor layout - I think we went about 20 different ways between the rooms we had booked. It was a total maze. While I know that the vibe of the hotel is very Music led - we were having some afternoon drinks on one day, and the music was at a level that we couldn't even have a conversation. We got room service, and the food was not great. It did come in a timely manner, but the quality was lacking. My chicken Burger was not good at all.
