Overall experience was superb. The staff were very friendly, welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. Really very good.
Breakfast was excellent. High quality ingredients.
very comfortable bed, bathroom was spacious and very well equipped, the walk in shower & bath were a good size.
The room seemed a little on the small size, however part of that was due to the size of the bed, which was huge, and very comfortable to rest / sleep in.

Loved the general service level - it feels like a special place and it is - you are made to feel welcome from the beginning and the staff go out of their way to make you feel special.
When I arrived, I was offered to have a short tour of the hotel.
When I woke up early on the 2nd day and wanted to use the swimming pool at 06:00 AM (I thought it opened at 06:00 rather than 07:00), the reception accommodated my request and had security open the swimming pool early just for me.
I loved the setting of the swimming pool and steam room and would love to try the spa and gym on another occasion.
I loved the water with citrus, dried nuts and fruits offered at the gym area as well as the very special plums (what a magnificent red colour!) in the rooms.
The room itself had everything you could want and more - the bidet feature built into the toilet was excellent - I realise it’s not necessarily a subject that people openly talk about but I loved it and beyond the extra clean feeling, it fella like an environmentally friendly option rather than wasting paper.
The shower unit was great - as hot as you want it and stream power of torrential rain.
Coburg Bar downstairs - again excellent service, kept coming back with more crisps and olives whenever we sat there and made classic fantastic drinks as requested. (Bloody Mary, Brandy Alexander.)
Overall an outstanding experience that I would love to repeat.
2 minor issues on first day: 1. I was offered to have my luggage taken up to my room when I arrived. Instead of them being taken to my room, they were taken to my parents’ room. (Even though it was a separate booking and they hadn’t checked in yet as they were arriving later - so I’m not sure how or why this went wrong - it was rectified after I called downstairs.)
2. On the first night, a maid buzzed on my door at 22:00 - I believe to check if I needed anything or to tidy my room before bedtime - while this is appreciated and she kindly gave me 2 bottles of water as she asked if I wanted anything, it was a bit odd to me to have someone ringing at my door relatively late at night.
Other than that, on the outside at times there were loud vehicles revving their engines in the area - but generally speaking It’s say it was quiet and I use my phone to drown out noise at night anyway.
There are minor issues that pale in comparison to the elite service given and facilities provided at the hotel.
If you can afford it, do it.
