Disappointing
The location the only thing that I like about this property is the location only the location
I just wanted to share my honest feedback about our recent stay, because unfortunately, it was very disappointing—especially given how expensive the hotel is.
First, the cleanliness and overall condition of the room were a big concern. For the five days we stayed, my allergic rhinitis was constantly triggered, and my son’s asthma also flared up. The room felt dusty, and we suspect the carpet may have contributed. The facilities also felt quite old and worn, which didn’t match the price we paid.
Second, we were not allowed to stay in one room even though it was clearly big enough for our family of four. Because of this, we were required to get another room, which cost us around an additional £2,000. On top of that, there was a hold placed on one credit card, but the actual charge was made on a different card because they hold the amount in the 1st card and they were trying to charge again which we don’t understand that’s why it is giving us an error during the check out they should’ve gotten the amount right away to avoid this double charging. We were told the hold would be released after 7–8 working days, which is fine but still an inconvenience and we are unsure if the hold will be released at the right time since it’s christmas season!! :(
Third, during checkout, we were surprised by extra charges that were explained as tips for the staff, around £15 per day per room. I told the staff I didn’t want to pay this for the extra room since it was never cleaned and we never even used it—we only booked it because we were required to. I don’t mind tipping, but it felt forced since it was automatically added at checkout. Even though they said it could be removed, the situation felt uncomfortable and stressful. After everything we went through, it didn’t feel right to be pushed into giving extra tips.
Lastly, the bathroom setup was also frustrating. The toilets were very small, and it was extremely hard to control the water temperature.

The location, facility, and overall staff service.
Overall, staff hospitality was exceptional. I guess just consistency as there were a few instances wherein I wasn't attended to (mostly, not immediately) as expected. But these were negligible, as in totality everything and everyone were phenomenal.

The location is excellent—within walking distance of theaters, shopping, groceries, restaurants, bakeries! The staff is very attentive—even offered us umbrellas in the rain. I never came across a staff member who wasn’t friendly and helpful. The lobby was beautifully decorated for Christmas. The cookies and macarons were a nice touch in the evenings. Our family has stayed there 3 times; a definite 4th is in the future!

The hotel and its staff were wonderful. The room was clean and quiet. The location was great for what we needed.
Was not happy with the restaurant. Our first breakfast was disappointing. Ordered pancakes and got a few very small pancakes that were dry and hard. I couldn't eat them. We did not eat at the restaurant after that. There are really good restaurants in Mayfair to visit instead.

The staff is superb, always helpful.
The dry cleaning. Please get a better one for your guests/ You are way too classy a hotel to have to return stained clothing to your guests.
I did not care for going down on my knees to remove a big box where my coffee utensils and milk, etc . were every single day. I was not explained where everything was at my arrival, by the way, and that was a very inconvenient thing to do on a daily basis.

The location was excellent with all the major London attractions within walking distance.
We spend very little time in the hotel given everything there was to see an do in London.
What time we did spend there in the evenings, was comfortable with very attentive and polite staff.

Great location for touring London and shopping /theatre in and around Mayfair.
The 15 pound per day gratuities automatically added to the bill. Should have only been added at our option not the hotel. I prefer to tip directly those who help me.
