My only complaint was that they didn’t fulfill my request for two separate beds in the first night although I explained to them so many times that it was necessary from the first time I made the booking

This is a gem of a hotel. It isn’t huge in terms of lounges etc but the rooms are great and the bar and restaurant are very cosy and inviting. I particularly liked the outside “winter wonderland” type glass box with comfortable seating and warm white sheepskin and wool throws. I also liked the subtle but gorgeous Christmas decorations throughout
Some details of the stay weren’t perfect but I’m giving 10s all round because the staff are absolutely wonderful. Everyone my niece and my small dog came across were so helpful and friendly that it would be churlish not to give 10s just for that reason. Like a lot of people I’ve travelled the world and stayed in a variety of accommodation, including some of the world’s acknowledged best, but it’s rare in a hotel of this quality to have such genuinely great and sincere people looking after you and wanting to give you the best experience
