Slow check in process Lack of transparency around the service charges that appear on your final invoice - there is a 5% service charge added to your room rate bill and 13.5% service charge added to your restaurant bill. I don’t like that the invoices / receipts you are are asked to sign with the amounts and included service charges that ask for your room numbers, name and signature also have a gratuity box so the unaware may end up paying for a service charge and adding a gratuity.

I know this hotel is expensive but when I make a booking 11 months in advance to take advantage of what appears to be a good early booking offer (non refundable) I do hope that I won’t regret that decision in the weeks before the visit but the hotel was offering bookings 20% less than what I paid in the month before I booked - note to self - NEVER book a non flexible early bird booking with this hotel in future. The hotel has a discretionary 5% service charge of room rate bookings that I normally pay however on this occasion I was annoyed that my early booking loyalty was not rewarded so I actually for the first time asked for the 5% discretionary tip on the room rate to be removed The check in process is slow when busy The check out process is slow when busy and the invoices are not user friendly to interpret as they add discretionary service charges in addition to the agreed rate.
