Location and nicely working WiFi
Very noisy, not very clean (hair on the bathroom floor bleh! Blooded linen), NO BATHROOM DOORS! Service who knocked once and simply went into my room when I was taking a shower! In a bathroom! With no doors!! Air con didn’t work in one room Filtered water near the lifts didn’t work Water near reception was not filled once it was emptied by others - I could only dream about cold drinking water during hot days The doorman - well - there was only one doorman who was doing what he was supposed to do. It was an elder gentleman. The other doormen opened the doors only twice during 5days stay, they were too busy with laughing and talking with reception mates. No GF options in the restaurant. The view!!! When I saw my view I was shocked haha! Never in my life had I ever such an interesting view! In general - it was ok, like 3/10 if the price was better then it’s ok. It’s not ok for the price I paid

Nice staff. Clean hotel.
Room. Tiny. Bed against the wall....not suitable for older people. One chair in the room. TV at 90 degrees to bed...impossible to see although the could watch from the bathroom! Toilet cistern filling slowly all night. Weak shower. Have stayed in much better rooms in NY city. Bed was comfortable but getting in and out. Good quality towels.

I loved the location of Strand Hotel, which is very conveniently located within most of the main London attractions and points of interest. Easy to catch the Metro and move around to where-ever you need to go.
I found the double room to be a bit cramped. The bathroom was also somewhat cramped and difficult for 2 people trying to manouvre themselves in and out of the bathroom. One person had to get out completely, before the next person could get in. Also, there is only one large heavy chair in the room - it would be best to have 2 smaller manoiuvarable chairs in this type of room.

It is a lovely central London hotel. The staff were welcoming and information was clear. I was happy with my stay.
The TV in the room was on a bracket that was broken. There was no bathroom door.

Fantastic location, clean, comfortable and wonderful staff. Mary at reception managed to get me checked in earlier than the official time. Breakfast upgrade is definitely worth it. Thank you.
I was on the second floor so not much effort to go down the stairs but during the peak times it was impossible to get an empty elevator to go downstairs.

All of the staff were extremely friendly, helpful and professional. The food served for breakfast and dinner was excellent and our room and the public rooms were all excellent too. A lovely comfortable hotel all round!
Just one small criticism, we ordered sticky toffee pudding for dessert. When it came it was stodgy and heavy and really not pleasant at all. We did point this out and were told that the dessert was vegan and gluten free. This being the case, it should state this on the menu and then most of us wouldn't order it!

Nothing I didn’t like apart from the complaint I lodged with yourselves about the cost of the additional night. It still hasn’t been rectified and it has just been left. Hotel amazing, booking.com terrible.
