LOTS of restaurants & eateries, bars & pubs. Ideal for theatres & SHOPS with Covent Garden literally round the corner & easy reach of Charring Cross underground, with loads of buses & taxis and easy walking distance of MANY London attractions.
Lifte are too small for hotel this size & 1 of 3 was out of order SO 90% of time we used stairs, lucky we were only on 4th floor.
Breakfast was GOOD, but at £19 each was too expensive really as we don't eat that much in the mornings.

Very disappointing experience at Strand Palace Hotel, Covent Garden
I stayed at Strand Palace Hotel and unfortunately had a very unpleasant experience with the manager in the breakfast area.
Breakfast was included in my stay, and I was taking breakfast for my children. The manager stopped me and spoke to me in a manner that I found extremely rude, arrogant, and disrespectful. What made the situation even more uncomfortable was that he kept watching our breakfast table continuously, which felt very odd and made us feel unwelcome.
He then told me that if I took the breakfast on a tray, I had to bring the tray back to the breakfast hall within one hour. When I challenged the way I was being treated and explained that I found his behaviour disrespectful, he changed what he was saying rather than acknowledging the situation or offering an apology.
What disappointed me further was that other staff members simply took his side instead of trying to understand the issue or resolve it professionally.
For a hotel in such a prime location, I expected a much higher standard of hospitality and customer care. Guests should be treated with respect, particularly when they have paid for services such as breakfast. I was not looking for special treatment—just basic courtesy and professionalism.
The most disappointing part was that there was no genuine apology or attempt to make things right. Based on this experience, the customer service in the breakfast area was extremely poor and left a very negative impression of my stay.

Wonderful
I had a really lovely stay! The location is absolutely perfect, just a few minutes’ walk from Covent Garden and Trafalgar Square, which made it incredibly easy to explore central London on foot. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The room was a little small and not the quietest, as I could sometimes hear people walking and talking in the hallway, but it was very comfortable and kept exceptionally clean, with housekeeping checking the room multiple times a day. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely come back!

The hotel is in a good location.
Reception staff is friendly.
The cleaning staff were extremely noisy in the morning, talking loudly in the corridors, banging on walls and doors. Because of this, you will not sleep peacefully, and the walls are very poorly insulated anyway. The elevator is terrible, I know it's crowded, but standing on every floor is really frustrating, especially if you go down from the eighth floor.
