Overall, I was satisfied with my stay — the hotel is nice, and the room was very clean. However, despite staying for 7 nights, I was genuinely upset by the refusal to provide a late check-out. My flight was at night and my driver was scheduled to pick me up at 3:30 PM, so a later check-out was important for my travel timing. Considering the premium price I paid for a 5-star hotel and the length of my stay, I expected more flexibility and understanding. Unfortunately, this experience did not reflect the level of service I was hoping for, and it left me quite disappointed.”

We have stayed many times before at the Rosewood London because we love the central location and the convenience of getting around in London. It’s within walking distances to many main areas such as Covent Garden, China town, Oxford street, Piccadilly etc. We also love the hotel for its choice of aesthetic interior decorations through the lobby to the individual rooms. It’s simply stunning! Staff were always friendly and ready to help with a special mention to Anna at the check-in desk. She’s looked after us many times before and it’s always lovely to be coming back to familiar faces at the hotel who greet us with warmth.
We couldn’t fault the hotel in any of our previous experiences but this time upon checking out, we had to wait quite some time for our car which had been parked away from the main door to the hotel but within the hotel’s vicinity (so not far at all). In the end, we had to go out and check ourselves to then realise our car had already been returned and was waiting there. This was possibly due to a lack of communication between the staff? We were told to wait inside but no one came in to inform us that our car had been returned and ready for us. Service was not like this when we drove previously. We also took notice during this stay that some of the valet parking staff appeared quite cold when we walked past them. No acknowledgement, no smiles or a little friendly nod. It’s Christmas after all but they don’t appear to be in the spirit! We had certainly remembered our previous experiences to be so much more welcoming even when it was not during the festive period. Both of the points above would probably be minor to some guests but somehow they left a slight bitter taste to our otherwise perfect stay at the hotel.
