Front desk staff allowed us to check in an hour early upon arrival, had high hopes from there but everything declined after that. Staff in the restaurant were very pleasant and helpful. Room was clean but very mediocre for a four star hotel in London
We were told we had access to the sauna and spa, we went into central London and bought my partner 2 new swimsuits and once arrived back at the hotel was told with a smirk that facilities are closed until further notice. Brought this up with the front desk and was greeted with a miserable attitude and made to feel like it was our fault for bringing it up. Facilities were poor and everything at the hotel is ridiculously priced, I can understand with it being a “luxury” hotel but for what we paid and what we got I would never believe this hotel would have a 4* rating, the food in the restaurant also wasn’t great considering the price. we have stayed in much nicer hotels for better prices. The location is also poor, not much to do around that area.

Room was amazing a d we loved our stay. BUT....I ordered a fruit basket which we paid for but never received. I spoke to a manager on checkout who processed a refund. Almost a month later and I have been chased for payment, not received a refund AND cannot get hold of the hotel to investigate. Not the service expected.

Not enough charging points by beds, not enough plug points. Hair dryers needs to be by dresser. Choice of harder pillows and thicker duvet or extra one.

It was ok. I felt uncomfortable being challenged for only having 1 breakfast booked when I had paid for two. No appology was given when I was correct. I saw a lot of other guests being subjected to the same treatment where staff phoned somebody to check that the guest had indeed paid for breakfast. Perhaps your system needs updating?
I didn't like that I had booked a twin room online only to be told when I arrived that this was subject to availability. I thought it was quite clear what I had booked and the booking was only for one guest? Why would I book a twin room for one guest. It was all sorted out eventually but was an unnecessary problem. Also the breakfast wasn't kept topped up and I had to wait for sausages.

The hotel is clean, comfortable and has friendly staff. Food in the restaurant is very good (dinner and breakfast) and he location is great for access to the Excel centre conference we were attending (5-10 minute taxi ride away). The terrace is very pleasant for dining, with great views of the river and the O2. Stayed here last year and enjoyed it and would definitely stay again.
