A very friendly team who looked after me very well - turns out I was one of the randomly-selected "Guests of the Day" and there was a delicious cake waiting for me in my room after I had checked in. Also I had a lovely streaky bacon roll for breakfast - the best in London in my opinion!

The location and the staff were helpful when we had a problem.
The room we were checked into had stains on the bed cover which we believed was bodily fluid and there was incredibly loud music coming from the room next door. We complained to reception about this within an hour of checking in and the were helpful and moved our room. We were moved to room 320. We found the temperature in our room was uncomfortably warm but the windows were either broken or had been fixed into a place where they couldn't be opened. The air conditioning wasn't working either, so the room was uncomfortably warm for our stay. We didn't complain again as we had already moved rooms. As a result, we checked out early on the Sunday as we were uncomfortable. This was disappointing as we have stayed at The Montcalm at least 5 times now and have always enjoyed our stay.

The position. It is located in a business district very close to Liverpool Station. As it is a business area, it was very calm and quiet during Easter time. I think it will be the same during every weekend. The building. It is an historical building very elegant and very well maintained. The breakfast room is at tenth floor with an amazing view.
It is a bit too expensive, maybe it depends from the period and Easter didn't help about it. The breakfast is a bit too cahotic and the staff wasn't ready to serve so many people at the same time, especially on Sunday morning.

Great location, safe area. Lots of nice restaurants nearby, and good public transport available. Staff were great, especially Liza, Swati & Golan.
The rooms were missing bath robes, which I would have expected for a five star.

The location is perfect
They don’t have parking, the closest parking is £36 per day. The cleaning standards for a 5star hotel are not the best, the bathroom floor was sticky and the carpet wasn’t vacuumed properly. When I asked for my bags to be delivered to my room, the staff looked at me surprised!

Amazing place make me feel stay at home, comprehensive facilities like bar, restaurant, jacuzzi, swimming pool etc., I like staff here, they always are polite and smiling, if I come to London again, I will choose the same hotel!!!
Unfortunately, the Wi-Fi wasn’t good enough, no idea it’s because my room location or something else, suggesting set Wi-Fi according to certain rooms instead of public Wi-Fi
