Wonderful
I recently stayed at your hotel and was surprised to see a charge added for housekeeping services. This fee was neither mentioned during check-in nor disclosed in the booking details. I believe charging guests separately for a basic service like housekeeping, which is typically included in any reputable hotel’s rate, is highly inappropriate.
After raising the issue, the fee was removed — but the fact that it was added in the first place left a negative impression. I hope this was an isolated incident and not a standard practice, as it does not reflect the standards one expects from a hotel of your caliber.

The location was spot on, our room large (for London) and very comfortable. Helpful concierge and friendly staff.
The bar downstairs was EXTREMELY overpriced. No wonder it was always empty. Yes it’s in Mayfair, but other bars in the area don’t charge £30 for a cocktail - outrageous.

Pleasant
The location was perfect for what we wanted and the rooms we very comfortable.
The mini bar wasn’t stocked and the breakfast service really wasn’t up to scratch.

Disappointing
- Excellent location, walking distance to Oxford and other attractions.
- The doormen were courteous and welcoming — the only staff who actually made guests feel valued.
Unfortunately, my stay at The Biltmore Mayfair was far below expectations. Despite its prime location, the overall experience was frustrating and disappointing:
- My wife lost her room key and went to reception to request a new one. Despite correctly answering all security questions, the manager refused to issue a replacement and handled the situation as if she were a security threat. The tone was accusatory and offensive — as if she were a thief — and after she walked away visibly upset, the manager made no effort to follow up or apologize. Zero customer care, empathy, or professionalism
- The reception staff were unprofessional, unwelcoming, and at times outright rude — not the service you expect at a so-called luxury hotel.
- My room had a constant, loud waterfall-like noise throughout the stay. I later discovered it was caused by water running from the bathroom of the room above (I even have a video). Completely unacceptable in this price range.
- Hygiene standards are questionable. Towels had visible stains, and it was clear they were simply refolded and reused rather than replaced daily.
- The Wi-Fi was by far the worst I’ve experienced in London — incredibly slow and barely usable for basic browsing or emails.
- At checkout, I was surprised with an unexpected 5% service charge that was never mentioned during check-in or shown on Booking.com. When I raised my concern, they eventually waived it — but it left a bad impression.
Overall, the service level does not justify the premium price tag. It feels like you’re paying for the location, but not getting the experience.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel in London. The location is fantastic – close to everything and very convenient. The service was excellent; the staff were always professional, helpful, and quick to respond to any requests.
One of the best aspects was the room itself – it was very spacious and comfortable, which made our stay even more enjoyable.
The only downside was the size of the bathroom. It was quite small compared to the size of the room, which was a bit disappointing. But overall, it didn’t significantly affect our experience.
