Although our trip centered around one sporting event in Wembley Stadium, we did have plans for a total of 6 nights in London. The centrally located Melia White House was an excellent base for all our activities as it has easy walking distance access to multiple Tube stations. Our room was a bit small but perfectly suitable for our needs. The bed was comfortable enough. The breakfast buffet food options were stellar with lots of choices. The close proximity to Regents Park is a bonus for morning walks.
The walls are a bit thin between rooms as we heard our noisy neighbors talking all hours. I advise wearing earplugs if you are a light sleeper or if you are trying to get over jet lag. While the food options at the breakfast buffet were fantastic, the coffee and espresso maker situation was dismal! There were 4 espresso machine set ups in the restaurant but only one was in operation the entire week that we were staying at the Melia White House. It was so frustrating to wait in long lines that we mostly opt for black coffee out of a thermos dispenser. Still, I would stay here again. The value for a centrally located London hotel far outweighs the minor inconveniences.

The bed was very comfortable. Everything was clean. Nice staff.
The room was small and the bathroom was tiny. The website said “city view,” but we could only see a wall. They also promised a coffee machine, but there was only a kettle and instant coffee. We did get a coffee machine after we complained, though. It also said “free toiletries,” but there was nothing except soap and toilet paper.

My room was very small. I am glad I was there alone because 2 people in that room for 5 days would definitely not have worked. You have to maneuver in the bathroom to get out of the way of the door to reach the toilet, which is extremely annoying, especially in the middle of the night. The room was run-down. And the walls were so thin I could literally hear entire conversations word for word.

The lighting in the room was very poor, and the shower in the bath was horrendous. The height of the bath to get in to take a shower was so high it was dangerous when wet trying to get out

Breakfast, executive lounge.
I felt like the customer service was off. I noticed a difference in treatment by staff for myself as a single person checking into the hotel and the way the couple in front of me were treated. For example the couple infront were given a tour as part of the executive package and I wasn't even though I had paid for executive use too. The staff in the executive area didn't acknowledge me until I made it clear that I was in the right area as I'd booked this as part of my package.
The room wasn't cleaned to a high standard and the room service app didn't work.

The only minor matter - design of square bedside tables with a round top - great to look at - but disaster for clients - drinks / mobiles etc continually falling to floor through the gaps !
