Pleasant
Location
Under refurbishment and not advised!
The room we were given STANK!
Drains issue-
We were moved - promptly.
In the morning- outside our window the scaffolding team were crashing and banging and using power tools - not ideal for a lay in - that we were planning on.
All in all - a really poor experience for a relatively high cost and high class hotel.
Not impressed and won’t rush back

Good
I liked the location and the staff, the staff were brilliant.
We booked a room with a view AND a city view - we did not get a city view. If they count looking out the window at the other rooms, and then straining to look around the corner to see two buildings that blocked out all else a city view, then this is a hotel that misleads.
The bathroom was TOO small, large people will struggle to sit on the toilet, very large people wont be able to.
The bed was rock hard and felt like i was sleeping on a slight mound - i am not fussy on beds, but i didn't get much sleep.
None of the above would have bothered me if we had the cheapest room, but we didn't. Also don't tell people they have booked a city view, when its a view like that, that is just scamming people. I suspect that might have been the inexperience of the receptionist who allocated our room at check in.
Some might say why didn't i raise all this when we were there? I was there for one night and a weekend that i did not want ruined by dealing with things like this. I should be able to stay somewhere and not have my stay tainted by having to complain.
We were in room 684, put a memory foam mattress topper on that rock hard slightly rounded bed and don't give it out as having a 'city view', it doesn't.
