Friendly staff
Put in wrong room as sold out. In conjoining smaller room that you could hear everything in next doors room. Everytime the door opened, the connection door would rattle and make noise. Awake a lot of the night. Stay there all the time and never have issues so very disappointed

Asked for a bottle of fizz for my wife's birthday on arrival and this was not in the room when we arrived.
The picture of the room was not the same as we had
QR codes don't work so can't order room service
When I spoke to reception about the QR codes they weren't able to provide a paper copy. Said that someone would come and see me after they had dealt with an important meal!
When a person came it was with an iPad with 4 selections
Bed covers were rough
Lighting in a room is terrible and difficult to do you make-up
No iron in the room which you'd expect for this price.
TV doesn't swivel from the wall so you can't watch in bed
The bar couldn't serve cocktails as they ran out of stock

Very Good
Very nice clean comfortable hotel
Not good for a disabled visitor, the wheelchair lift was out of order most of the time so had to be taken through the kitchen by the staff. When the lift did work you have to rely on someone else operating it for you as there are no controls on the outside of the lift to call it. So not great for independence when you have to rely on someone helping you.

Wonderful
Although our trip centered around one sporting event in Wembley Stadium, we did have plans for a total of 6 nights in London. The centrally located Melia White House was an excellent base for all our activities as it has easy walking distance access to multiple Tube stations. Our room was a bit small but perfectly suitable for our needs. The bed was comfortable enough. The breakfast buffet food options were stellar with lots of choices. The close proximity to Regents Park is a bonus for morning walks.
The walls are a bit thin between rooms as we heard our noisy neighbors talking all hours. I advise wearing earplugs if you are a light sleeper or if you are trying to get over jet lag. While the food options at the breakfast buffet were fantastic, the coffee and espresso maker situation was dismal! There were 4 espresso machine set ups in the restaurant but only one was in operation the entire week that we were staying at the Melia White House. It was so frustrating to wait in long lines that we mostly opt for black coffee out of a thermos dispenser. Still, I would stay here again. The value for a centrally located London hotel far outweighs the minor inconveniences.

Pleasant
The bed was very comfortable. Everything was clean. Nice staff.
The room was small and the bathroom was tiny. The website said “city view,” but we could only see a wall. They also promised a coffee machine, but there was only a kettle and instant coffee. We did get a coffee machine after we complained, though. It also said “free toiletries,” but there was nothing except soap and toilet paper.

Pleasant
I liked the location, the restaurant, and the bar.
My room was very small. I am glad I was there alone because 2 people in that room for 5 days would definitely not have worked. You have to maneuver in the bathroom to get out of the way of the door to reach the toilet, which is extremely annoying, especially in the middle of the night. The room was run-down. And the walls were so thin I could literally hear entire conversations word for word.
