Chic and trendy
We were given complimentary breakfast and drinks by way of compensation for being given a disabled persons room
IThumping music from the roof top bar keeping us awake until 1 am
No toilet brush in the room
We booked a room with terrace and river view . However , we were given an accessible room ie seat in shower low light switches and high toilet without prior notice .
Also, whist the room was classed as accessible, there was a step up to the balcony, which would certainly not be suitable for people with mobility issues

The hotel is actually lovely some interesting design aspects but the rooftop restaurant is great and staff were all wonderful, trying to help at every opportunity.
The reception staff were wonderful!
Sadly the marble & tiling in the bathroom was cracked & badly stained, rusted fixings and filth in corners of showers. All in need of a deep clean and seious repair, also a deep musty sweaty smell in the room the cleaning staff assured me this is simply due to zero windows and aircon circulating the awful smell.
I asked to be moved to another room they kindly found another room on the same floor, not as nice but same £(?) and importantly close to my other family members. This room also had an awful smell but marble floor in tact. Still some filth in the corners, mold on shower head and wobbly jaunty angled loo roll fixing ?
After discussing with staff that these rooms were not meeting the criteria / value of £320+ rooms they explained that the hotel is in midst of bathroom renovations & repairs.
So hopefully end of this year 2026 will see a truly great Me/Melia as i trust most of this chain to be.
Not sure I will be back again but trust they will deliver.

Beautiful rooftop bar. We had an awesome balcony with our twin room. Lovely bathroom. Great location!
There is a loud bar on the roof, so if your room is close, it is loud base til 1.30am on a sat night. There is also a nightclub style venue downstairs. So a young crowd in and out..good for people watching though.

4th floor room was quiet
We had a water leak in the bathroom at the beginning of our stay. Had to speak to 4 different people up to the chain + 5/6 visits in the room to have an appropriate solution found and a different room at same floor given to us (after attempt to relocate us on the 2nd floor close to the Strand traffic/or having us pay extra for the Suite...). Had a comp offer from the FO manager but at check-out people were not aware. Fortunately it was applied though. Hotel clearly lacks of desks' procedure in what seems pretty common circumstances.
We stayed over friday and saturday nights and unfortunately on Saturday night there were a number of drunk young people in the lobby starting from 5/6pm, shouting and even fighting outside. Despite security presence this place is clearly not appropriate with young kids.
Would had expected better from hotel in that price range.
Location is great but there are many other hotels on that street which i'm sure would have been better.

Very modern design , beautiful room with very comfortable bed , immaculate.

The fact I had my bag stolen from reception in front of several people, including staff. CCTV was checked, with view as to where the bag was, but said they didn’t see anything suspicious… let the stay down massively. Other than that was really nice .
