Fair
Service was bad. Couldn’t check in one of the rooms till 4.30pm despite being told early morning it would be 12 and then later being told check in isn’t until 3 so wouldn’t be till then which is fair but to then wait till 4.30. Rooms were not serviced until 9pm at night. Air conditioning wasn’t working and door handle in bathroom
Broken had to be asked multiple times to get a solution.

Exceptional
I’ve stayed at many hotels in London but The Dilly was exceptional from check in to check out. A room upgrade and decorated for my aunt’s birthday which was spectacular and then to be given champagne with strawberries and chocolate cake was amazing. The staff were polite and friendly and always there to help. The breakfast was also exceptional. I cannot say a bad criticism about this hotel. The only thing I didn’t get to do was go for a swim but there is always next time as I will be stopping there again. Ideally situated with all attractions within a 10 minute walk. Thank you for a wonderful couple days
There was nothing I didn’t like about this property. I highly recommend

Poor
The only thing moderately good was the gym and the pool.
The hotel is completely run down, old, decrepit, sad end to what was once a really nice hotel.

As it was our 49th wedding anniversary they upgraded us to a suite. The room was beautifully decorated with swans on the bed and anniversary banner with chocolates. Also there was wine and cake. Wonderful message was left by Guest relation.Made us feel very special also it will alway be a very happy memory.

Disappointing
The manager tried to make things right but wasn't enough!
We have stayed at historic hotels and do not mind old facilities as long as they maintain their charm or things provided work properly. The whole facility is very dated and old. We were a room which had strong smell of cigarette smoking. We had two children with us and it was hard to believe that they couldn't change our room for the first night and kids had to suffer through it. It was too late in the day for us to go to a different hotel. We got a different room but the bed setting wasn't to our preference. It was very disappponting start of our 3 week trip. The facilities are very tired, things don't work, bathrooms are in poor shape (shower pressure is poor and inconsistent), things are broken or old. They told that that the lobby was renovated but it looked very dated still. This property was not even 3 star and breakfast was barely okay for a 5 star hotel. Their manager was nice and tried to help but the facility is just in very poor shape. We will not stay there again or recommend it to anybody.

Wonderful
The hotel is beautiful. We told them in advance it was our daughter’s 18th birthday, and the hospitality team did an AMAZING job with welcome stuff. The pool is also lovely, especially in a heatwave.
The pool was closed one day, and the staff down there didn’t handle the communication very well. Age to use the gym was 16, which seemed unnecessarily restrictive for a hotel gym.

Location
Beautiful lobby
Welcome chocolate platter and wine in the room
It is looking a bit dated but they are refurbing it. The gym and pool could do with updating too but the equipment itself was good, and there was plenty of space.

Wonderful
Location is perfect. Short walk to my conference.
I had to unplug the TV to stop the screen lighting up on its own.
A duvet is too hot- a sheet and blanket would be better.
