The hotel went above and beyond for our one night stay
Decorating the room as it was my husbands 50th
So thoughtful and elevated the experience
The hotel is undergoing renovation but it’s handled very well and didn’t impact guests
Staff very very helpful
We were very impressed and highly recommend
Great location for shops and restaurants too

Wonderful
Location was fantastic. Also the staff was exceptional. If something were not perfect, they fixed it immediately. I would go back!
Lots of construction in the area, but that is not the fault of the Dilly.

Great location great staff - will be fabulous when refurbishing is finished
They had refurbishments going on and we were in 2 very tired old rooms. My taps leaked, lack of plug sockets and not much light available in the room.

Great location and large suites.
The property was undergoing refurbishment and the noise was annoying. The room was large and accommodated our family well. It was very dated in terms of furnishings and bathrooms, however you could see they had a program of upgrade works underway.

The location is certainly this hotels best asset. Right in the heart of Piccadilly. So easy walking distance to almost everywhere.
The staff before our stay via booking.com were friendly and organised nice anniversary items in our room for arrival which was a very kind gesture. Thank you!
The barman makes excellent cocktails.
In fairness to the hotel, I was fully informed of renovation works going on prior to our stay. And the actual renovation works did not interfere with our stay whatsoever. So I have no issues with that at all.
For what is meant to be a 5* hotel I felt that standards in the still accessible areas were quite a bit below expectations. I believe that if you’re still selling rooms, they should still reflect the status of the hotel. Our room was very tired and in need of much tlc. Stained walls, dodgy paint work etc. just the finishing touches of 5* were lacking.
On the second day our room had no hot water so we had to have cold showers which wasn’t ideal. (I did raise this with the desk).
On using the basement level bar, there was an awful damp smell which was very unpleasant. I did raise this with reception and ask if there was another bar, and the staff were quite unfriendly and unapologetic. Hardly the response of 5* staff.
The leisure area needs a bit of upgrading too.
I also had an issue in the guests lounge area which offers complimentary drinks. One of the staff was also forcefully explaining that he can bring a machine for me to leave him a gratuity. Even though I was serving myself. This was a bit odd.

Location was amazing. Given a free upgrade and we were given a free bottle of wine and chocolates in our room
Our toilet never flushed and unfortunately there was work being done on the hotel.

Very Good
The staff were friendly and very helpful, and they even left a few surprises in our room as we mentioned we were there for a celebration! The suite was larger than expected and kept to a high standard, and the pool and spa were nice and not too busy.
There is a lot of construction going on at the moment, so the main entrance was closed and there was a lot of noise. Luckily we didn't hear it from our room, and the hotel let us know in advance about it. But it is worth noting before you come and stay. It needs to be done as some bits of the building are in need of restoration, our room was fine but it could do with a new carpet and a fresh coat of paint on the walls.

Turn on the sauna earlier so that it’s warm in opening hours

My wife and I stayed at the Dilly to celebrate our anniversary and the hotel could not have been more accommodating. They gave us many special extras with clever detail to our celebration. Just a massive thank you to the hotel even without all the personal touches, the hotel was clean, well located and the breakfast was amazing!
