The location is outstanding. The breakfast is pretty special, and the staff at breakfast are incredibly polite and helpful. They can’t do enough to assist you. The gym and pool at the Dilly are also fantastic.
The staff and concierge at reception are not particularly polite (they’re not rude); they’re just a bit “meh”, for example when i was struggling to through a door with my bags, there was a member of staff just stood there watching me struggle. They should take some lessons from the breakfast staff. The aircon/heating in my room didn’t appear to work. It was cold, freezing or arctic. It was not possible to warm the room up.

Location is great, in the centre of the city, near shops
We reserved 3 rooms, one had no hot water in bathroom when we came, there was no soap in bathroom, only last day they give us, furniture is very old, breakfast was better last year when we were there, room was cold, heating was not working in two rooms. The water in toilet was like you have to push the button 15 times so the paper is gone. We spend almost all the paper first day and they changed only one so we almost run out of paper next day. We were a friends and family of 8 people and our opinion is that hotel needs urgent renovation.

Great location and very nice breakfast in the newly refurbished Terrace Restaurant. The guest relations Manager attended diligently our request of a much brighter room than last year.
However the windows didn’t open and the front desk didn’t provide a satisfactory solution.
Also one member of the staff at check out made us a rude comment which we’ve already brought to the attention of the guest relations Manager.

Amazing location!!! The hotel itself is very big and was a bit confusing walking around trying to figure out where your room was but it really helped you have a feel of the hotel back in the day. Our bedroom was absolutely gigantic, I’ve never stayed in a room that big!! The welcome chocolates and teddy were a lovely touch as well. The staff were fantastic and couldn’t have been more helpful.

Location was very good.We had a very spacious suite which was good.
Overall the hotel was very nice. The decor on the bed was beautiful when
we entered and the fresh fruit and wine was a lovely gesture.
Unfortunately the heating wasn't working in the suite and it was very cold
when we complained about it we got a very small portable radiator which
was not sufficient to heat the whole place.
The decor and the furniture were very tired and worn, it could definitely do
with a face lift. As everything is very worn it did'nt look clean.

This was our second stay at The Dilly, and once again the team made it truly memorable. We were celebrating our youngest's 12th birthday, and the staff went above and beyond by decorating the bedroom — a wonderful surprise that absolutely made his day. A huge thank you to Divya Rathinam for such a fantastic decoration; the thought and care that went into it meant so much to our family.
The reception team and the doorman were also extremely warm and welcoming throughout our stay, making us feel looked after from the moment we arrived. It's the people who turn a good hotel into a great one, and The Dilly clearly has the right team in place.
We'll definitely be back!

The location is the main selling point for the hotel. It is a great location and makes a great base for a central stay.
Breakfast was excellent, with great choice and good quality.
The guest relations team were extremely helpful before the stay and arranged a little surprise in the room for my son, which was a lovely touch. The staff were pleasant enough during the stay.
The room was dated and unfortunately nowhere near worthy of a 5 star rating. My window kept blowing open as the latch was broken and I had to jam it shut with some cardboard. The iron was broken, but replaced on request and the furniture is worn and wall plugs loose etc. The attention to detail is not there it needs to be, when it comes to the standards.
