Wonderful
The staff at reception were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The rooms were very comfortable for our short stay. Their breakfast was very tasty and a nice variety was offered. The location is excellent, close walking distance to everything, 50m to the underground.

The floors in the room were very shabby and uneven. The showers, like so many in British hotels, do not provide side protection, and thus water gets all over the floor.

This is our 25th year of staying at this wonderful hotel. We continue to return for several reasons: the excellent service, the staff, the special attention we always receive, and the perfect location. We could go on and on, but we always look forward to our stays here. George Cosgrove is the Head Concierge, and he always makes sure that our stay is exceptional. He is warm, friendly, and lots of fun. Mark Hastings, the Assistant Concierge, has treated us as special guests from our very first visit. We always enjoy meeting with him to catch up on all that’s happening in the city. Selim Atios (Senior Guest Relations) and his team always makes sure that our room is presented wonderfully as they dress our bed with spectacular treats ( see the pictures on Trip Advisor). They also add other special and mouthwatering treats for us to enjoy during our visit. The amenities of the hotel and the location close to the Piccadilly tube and wonderful shops and restaurants makes this a perfect place to stay when enjoying London. We will return again next year and look forward to another wonderful stay at The Dilly with our London Friends.

Disappointing
The location was excellent and the staff were pleasant.
The accommodation was dilapidated. I was upgraded for free to a suite, which was nice, but because it felt like I was practically in the rafters, it was incredibly warm. The room was 801. The air conditioning didn’t work—instead, when I tried to turn it on, it blew out hot air. The bathroom felt a little dated, and when we plugged a hair dryer in, it short-circuited the room and all the power went out. Maintenance needed to fix it, which was inconvenient since it was pitch black outside.

Public areas were very clean but the room we had was not the cleanest. Room very tired but they are being renovated in the new year so that should sort that one out. Food from the breakfast buffet was cold by the time I got back to the table so tried ordering direct from the kitchen and that was cold also and undercooked
