The hotel is shabby and feels unclean, the airconditioning in our room was noisy, we had to turn it off to sleep, the TV did not work at all, the bathroom is tiny, the loo seat fell off, the water in the bath came out brown

The breakfast was fabulous and the room you eat it in is just stunning. The hotel is nice and in a great location. The room was comfortable and they had made a nice welcome card and gift when we got there.
The room was very dark and I would have preferred more lighting.

The location was outstanding.
The gym was really good with well-maintained equipment.
The property is old and requires maintenance. The floor of our room was creaky. There wasn’t enough lighting in the room which is why it felt dark and a bit claustrophobic throughout the day. The customer service was average. Had to visit reception multiple times just to get an extra bottle of water. The steam room was out of order.

The location was ideal, close to theatre land and other places of interest. The room, whilst a bit dated, was large and well proportioned, we were upgraded to a Junior Suite for our stay. The breakfast was good with a wide selection, but one complaint is that the Bain Maries didn't keep the food hot and the freshly prepared fried eggs were very oily and not fully cooked.

Rooms are old and need a refresh
I stayed for 6 nights and didn’t get one warm shower / I complained and asked to change rooms : the answer from the front desk was we can’t move you and the pipes are old

Very Good
Excellent staff throughout our stay, they were all very friendly and helpful. A comfortable bed and the room had everything we needed for our stay. On arrival, the bed was decorated with swans, petals and we had been left some amazing chocolates, a bottle of wine and even a Dilly teddy bear! The breakfast was very good, with a huge choice and eggs cooked to order. The hotel is in an excellent location, with theatres, shops, bars and restaurants all just a short walk away. There are various tube stations again just a short walk away. The Indian restaurant was fantastic, probably the best Indian food we have ever enjoyed. The bar in the basement made lovely cocktails and had a good atmosphere. The doormen were chatty, informative and had a good sense of humour :-)
Our room decoration and furniture was a little tired #110. The carpet had a huge green stain, some smaller stains, was thread bear and wasn't properly fixed to the step. The bathroom floor tiles were wobbling and were missing grout, an easy fix so we found it difficult to understand why it was not done. There were a couple of holes in the voile curtains. Also, in the wardrobe, the fixing/sensor was held in position with lots of black tape. Again a minor fix but overall little things like these add up and spoil the room which is not exactly inexpensive at £450 per night. We spoke to reception about these matters on the day of arrival and she said that all the rooms are scheduled to be renovated. After the first nights sleep, I woke up to find that I had been bitten several times by some kind of insect. As a result, I pulled back the top sheet and found a stained mattress protector and hair belonging to someone else. We showed the duty manager photos, he apologised and they fully changed the bed and sent some biscuits with a letter of apology.

The location of this hotel is ideal and especially for first timers in London. The reception area is very impressive. Everywhere is clean. We had a family room with 2 double beds. Didnt expect the room to be such a big size which was ideal.
The bathroom in our room was dated. The shower took a good 10 minutes to warm up which isnt good enough for the price we paid.
