Hosein, Paul and Christian were very helpful, and friendly. Concierge and room staff were welcoming . The chocolates and wine that greeted us and of course the Dilly Bear. The beds were comfortable, especially after the long plane trip and at the end of our long days of walking.
The fact that I could not access the BBC programme on the television! I could not understand why? Not having Another bedside table for the second single bed.

Location is fabulous
Room was very tired. Light switch prone to falling off the wall, not the cleanest, looked like the room had recently been painted but it needed a lot of love to fix little things. Entry lighting terrible, quilt cover needs to be thrown out. Just a lot of little things that impacted the overall feeling of the room.

Everything. It is advertised as a 5 stars, we booked a suite and it was a total disaster. The rooms are those of a 2 stars hotel. Old carpet, stained. Old forniture, cracked and also stained. No phone in the room, no in-room breakfast. It was freezing and the curtains didn’t block the sun in the morning properly.

It was undergoing refurbishment. On booking, it was not made clear to us by Booking.com (but later found out it was on The Dilly Website), that this was the case. It was obvious from our room why there is refurbishment in process.

We were right next to the renovation works. Awaje at 8 both mornings if our stay. Renovations works, drilling etc. we couldn't open our curtains as we had workmen on scaffolding on the same level, this was an upgrade room but I csn now see why.

Exceptional
The hotel has been recently renovated while still keeping its original charm, which we really loved! The location is ideal, especially with children, as it is very close to the metro, bus station and park.
The rooms are spacious and very clean. The staff is exceptional, with special attention given to children, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The reception team was truly charming and welcoming, specially Mr Hussein.

Only location.
I believe they invested nothing in the hotel because they relied on its good location. It's very old, worn, and dirty. The heating system doesn't work. Furthermore, I had problems with the water; muddy water flowed for a whole day and didn't return to normal. I needed to shower and wanted to leave because I didn't want to use that water, but they wouldn't pay for the remaining days. The breakfast was very inadequate. The only thing I liked during my stay was the location. I would never choose this place again. It can never be a 5-star hotel. It needs to be inspected.
