Only location.
I believe they invested nothing in the hotel because they relied on its good location. It's very old, worn, and dirty. The heating system doesn't work. Furthermore, I had problems with the water; muddy water flowed for a whole day and didn't return to normal. I needed to shower and wanted to leave because I didn't want to use that water, but they wouldn't pay for the remaining days. The breakfast was very inadequate. The only thing I liked during my stay was the location. I would never choose this place again. It can never be a 5-star hotel. It needs to be inspected.

Location. Liked the lobby except for the construction. Front lobby staff pleasant. Bed very comfortable.
The TV screen turned on by itself every couple hours in the middle of night.
Confusion of their outlets- coffee maker and kettle not plugged in and it wasn't clear what outlet to use, they were all different.

Love the location, have had great experiences in the past and have had good service
The property did not adequately provide an overview of the degree to which renovations impacted the current quality of the hotel. The entrance and foyer was a construction zone, staff was very preoccupied and the rooms are not being kept up. We had 2 chairs and no couch in our room and when I inquired about more seating, I was initially given a rolling desk chair. My last stay involved amazing service. I hope the Dilly gets there again.

Disappointing
Location was great next to lots of shops and very in the city , close to Buckingham palace
The bed was Extremely hard and not comfortable and the pillows were so soft they didn't hold form so the combination of the two left me very sore sleeping on them. Also I was told multiple times since it was our honeymoon our room would be upgraded and we would have a room decorated for us and none of that happened at all. Also the reason I booked was because of how pretty the blue lobby looked and it had so much personality, when we arrived the lobby was newly renovated to be cream/white and just very bland looking. Still getting excuses from staff as to why our experience wasn’t different along with conflicting statements via message that was complete opposite of what was said in person. Nothing has been done to rectify our disappointment or experience and quite honestly with the customer service along with our stay, I wish I booked elsewhere for our honeymoon as this has dampened our trip and it’s something I won’t forget when I think about our time there. Very saddened and truly just a shame because they could’ve made our stay so much better if their customer service was better, conflict resolution was better and if we actually received all the amenities we were told multiple times.

It felt like a construction site. Elevators were slow and were under inspection/ maintenance. The whole reception area was noisy and messy.
The breakfast was not worth the money. I traveled with three teenagers and was expecting the breakfast would freshly made. The pancake and the waffles were store bought and came in plastic “bags”. The staff removed the plastic and put it on the tray. Dry and not tasty at all.

Convenient location
It is renovating now and a bit inconvenient. I stayed in room 402 near the lift and door, it is very noisy. I can hear the conversation next room, and the talks while people were waiting lift and the bang sound of the door.

The superior double room was spacious, and the food was outstanding, with both breakfast and the traditional London afternoon tea exceeding expectations. Additionally, the location was ideal, situated right in the heart of central London.
During our four-day stay at The Dilly, there was an ongoing renovations at the property. Despite this, I will still award it a five-star rating based on the overall experience.

Unbeatable location for short stay if you dont mind the buzzing crowd. Best-equipped gym for prime-located hotel. Very nice staff from reception, bell desk to housekeeping.
The room was too hot despite I put the temp control all the way down to the minimum and lack of plugs for phone and laptop charging.
Poor location of outlet even for the hairdryer, had to sit down without a mirror to dry your hair.
