Room was exceptionally big, clean and well presented. The location is perfect, wether you drive or take public transport. Breakfast was decent, would not say 5* but still lots of options. staff were friendly and attentive.

Had to ask 3 times to get the room cleaned.
Light in toilet on a timer like a cheap hotel. Timer was very short so had to wave hands around regularly when on the loo.

Exceptional
Beautiful old building, although I imagine it could be difficult for anyone with accessibility issues. Lovely classic room with wide beams, fireplace and a beautiful shower. Can’t wait to stay again

Location is great for Canary Wharf and for Excel. Rooms are nice and quirky.
Breakfast is very poor. Orange Juice is a squash and the bread was frozen. Too much cost cutting. TV in room is too small for the size of room and no usb points near the bed.

Nice, clean, well maintained, the room was clean and well presented.
Nothing, we only used the room for our travels so didn’t use the hotels facilities or food. Can’t fault the room.

Location and rooms are neat
The Internet was horrible, could not even get connect to my office for emails. Ended up using my phone. There was no hot water for a shower on the morning.

Great room - good size, nicely decorated and very clean. Location is ideal, only 5 minutes away from a tube station, and lots of great restaurants nearby. I have mobility issues and the hotel was easy to navigate. Staff were friendly and helpful as always.
Breakfast unfortunately was nowhere near as good as previous years. Squash instead of fresh juice, coffee cups were too small for the machine so the drinks overflowed and made a mess (there were correctly sized cups but they weren't the ones actually next to the machine), the food had been downscaled and the restaurant staff and front desk staff obviously weren't on the same page about how to actually pay for the breakfast and each thought it was the other's responsibility.

Stayed several times, the hotel is located so conveniently to DLR at Poplar (4 min walk) or Canary wharf and the underground lines 10 mins away its easy to do everything. The hotel itself is excellent, staff always helpful, everywhere clean, beds comfortable and rooms are all so big! Didn't have breakfast this time, but the restaurant in the evening is a new gem!! So much improved! Great food and great atmosphere.
Please replace the wooden stirrer with teaspoons. Trying to get a coffee bag or tea bag out of the cups was a messy affair! Ground floor room a bit noisier than other floors we've stayed on (within the hotel) A little bit of maintenance needed in the usually spot on bathroom. Shower rail, hand towel rail and towel rack as all hanging on by a screw. (Rm g8)

The building is beautiful
Waited 45 mins for our room to be ready to eventually find out the light in the bathroom was not working (not sure how they managed to clean in the dark) and an exposed wire hanging from the ceiling, which meant we were moved to a downgraded room, where the TV wasn't working, but still paid the price of our original room. Absolutely no effort of a good will gesture for the inconvenience or the price difference.
The breakfast was horrible, could literally smell the watery eggs as you walked in and everything was poorest quality.
No way is that a 4* hotel

Exceptional
Lovely boutique hotel, easy to find, great location for Canary Wharf and O2. Comfy beds and pillows. We requested twin rooms close to each other and they delivered.
Wallpaper was quite dusty in the corner behinds kettle and fridge area. We heard lots of noisey footfall from above and tap was loose. Reported to reception who were keen to fix. Breakfast items from the hot buffet were cold.
