The ambience of the hotel was amazing as soon as you walked in. You could tell it was a really nice hotel. The staff member on reception was really nice, it was easy to find our room as well. The room was ample size for me and my mum who were staying and it had everything we needed. I was not expecting a little fridge in the room which was great because I could put my bottle of water in there to keep it chilled. Loved that check out was midday as well, giving us plenty of time in the morning. Really close to a tube station and the high street as well.
There was nothing that I didn't like at all, everything about the hotel was great.

The room was a good size, the location of the hotel is absolutely great, you are so central to the location and now we have found you we will definitely stay again.
The first night we were there, the people in the room next door were very noisy, but fortunately the noise didn’t go on too long, so maybe one day a bit of soundproofing wouldn’t go a miss, but generally for the location and the size of the hotel it was fairly quiet.

Location - short walk to high kensington street tube station. Located across an active street with supermarkets, restaurants, pharmacy, all you need as a tourist. Safe location and the hotel itself is always active and busy with airliners staff moving in and out all the time. There is also starbucks in the reception area. Family oriented hotel as well as hosts celebrations.
Breakfast buffet - includes mostly known breakfast such as scrabled eggs, sauted mushrooms, turkey (great taste), beans, hashbrowns, bakes and range of hot and cold drinks. Other options suitable for kids available as well such as cereal, panckes (really good), etc. Terrace was closed due to weather.
Rooms - quiet tight and small (standard twin room), however, comfortable beds and pillows, some rooms have big windows which allow sun light in as well as air circulation. Coffee and tea available. (Upgrade to bigger rooms if able).
Staff - really friendly and helpful. Always there to assist during breakfast or around corridors. Receptions seems well trained and friendly.
Overall clean and comfortable hotel.
Lifts are too slow and not smart at all. Some lifts were under maintanance which makes it even more frustrating. And if you are lucky to catch the lift, it will probably be full as it is too small to accomodate more than 4 people, not mentioning their luggage. Choose lower floors if able (will save you alot of time and peace of mind).
Be advised that the hotel does not provide things like toothbrush, slippers, haircap, etc unless you ask due to planet saving scheme.
I suggest offering more breakfast options such as international cusines (falafel, burgers, halal hotdogs, etc).
Unfortunately, during my stay there was maintanance on high street kensigton station. The next closest station is earl's court (17min walk).

Only full fat milk in the rooms and 2 teabags. Could have offered a bottle of water and a pack of biscuits? Hot chocolate? Expensive for what you got

Poor
After a seven-hour drive to London, I was relieved to finally arrive. The Concierge was friendly and helpful, and the receptionist at check-out was polite, apologetic, and did her best to make amends by offering IHG points and a coffee voucher. The room was clean and tidy, and the location remains convenient for central London visits.
Unfortunately, the rest of my experience fell far short of expectations-particularly disappointing given that I had booked a Premium King Room. Nothing about the stay felt “premium.”
When I arrived, there was a queue of around ten people at reception, and this was the case every time I walked past. The reception staff looked disinterested and unapproachable, with no urgency to move the line along. After finally checking in, I was told I needed to speak to the Concierge to arrange parking, meaning I had to join another queue-not exactly the welcome I needed after such a long journey.
When I reached my room, I was surprised by how basic and small it was for a “Premium King.” The bathroom was tiny-barely enough space to turn around, with no shelves to place toiletries and such limited space that you could touch the sink in front of you from the toilet.
Worse still, the room was freezing cold. The air conditioning was stuck on cold air, and despite several calls to reception (using a broken, crackling phone), I was repeatedly told that maintenance had already fixed it-even though they clearly hadn’t. After being fobbed off multiple times, I gave up and endured a sleepless night in a freezing room.
In the morning, things didn’t improve. The overhead shower had almost no pressure, forcing me to use the handheld one. Also the shower screen didn’t meet the edge of the bath, so water went all over the floor.
By checkout, I was too tired to go over every issue, but I did mention the air conditioning. Thankfully, the morning receptionist was friendly and genuinely helpful, offering 5,000 IHG points and a coffee voucher as a gesture of goodwill-though in hindsight, that’s worth very little compared to the disruption.
Overall, this stay was a huge disappointment, especially compared to my experience last year, which was excellent. The room standard, maintenance, and customer service have all clearly declined. Unless there are major improvements, I’ll be staying elsewhere.
