I requested a twin and this was refused even tho the king bed was actually comprised of two singles and could’ve easily been changed -which wasn’t the best start but got over it.
if you like a view this isn’t the hotel for you it’s built in a grid and most rooms look into roofspace or a wall but is very convenient for high st Kensington.

Nice facilities clean and good communal areas. Reception and bar staff good. Breakfast good. Car park good and car park staff excellent. Best part of the stay. So friendly and helpful.
Bed mattress poor and uncomfortable, pillows dreadful, room to cool, duvet a double on a king size bed. Switchboard staff unhelpful

The bed was lovely and had a good night sleep.
The room was like a shipping container it was so small especially the bathroom wasn’t a comfortable experience. Asked for a Pepsi at room service they just said they didn’t have it and didn’t provide an alternative (they sold cola).
Breakfast was ok - went to get a latte from the machine and it completely overfilled and was told the machine malfunctions sometimes. The lift button for the ground floor didn’t work. The jacuzzi and steam room was out of order and it took a long time to check in.

STAFF. Hands down the friendliest hotel we have ever dealt with. Very engaging and eager to chat, see how you are, where from etc.
12.5% surcharge applied to room service that wasn't mentioned where I could see, as well as a tray charge.

Its location, cleanliness and the friendly staff that we interacted at in reception and Concierge.
The air con/ heating in the room did not work and it was very cold first night. One of staff in reception checked it and left a heater in the room while we were out of hotel. This helped.

All staff were excellent & plenty of them around, always helpful and pleasant. Hotel was clean. Had a lovely atmosphere. Fabulous pool 18m - you can get a decent swim. There are meals so great for a solo female traveller, very flexible. The breakfast was self service and very good. Plenty of choice. Also a small Starbucks inside the hotel at the front nicely done, great for snacks or lighter breakfast/toastie etc ideal for meeting up or waiting esp in poor weather. Room was clean, quiet. Excellent shower & tv. I always have a basic double room as the general plan is to be in it as little as possible/get out and see as much as possible - so plenty big enough for me. There was a small sofa which was a nice touch. The Hotel is very handy for the tube a three/four minute walk on Kensington high street. I will certainly be going back. I found it an excellent, well run, well thought out hotel which quietly serves its guests at a very good price, especially if you are a solo female traveller and like a decent swim! Tucked away from main thoroughfare in a quiet little area! Superb location.
Thank you all staff - lovely stay on my recent trip to London & I really appreciated you all & your hard work and friendliness - both seen and unseen.
What's not to like? Unf jacuzzi was not in use when I was there (1 night) but pool & everything else so good why worry!
