This is my go to hotel in London and it has risen even higher in my estimation. The room was excellent and the location could not be better. The breakfast, which was always excellent has become the gold standard in choice, service and quality. NOTHING is too much trouble.
I would still like residents to be able to get a 'nightcap' before bed, i.e after 11pm.

Ongoing construction work noise but understandable. Only two lifts working so can be a bit of a wait to get in lifts.

Noisy location overnight Some facilities are a bit dated Strange smell in my room. It smelt like there was damp or animal must in the ceiling above the bathroom/vestibule.

Really lovely hotel in a fantastic location for everything we planned to do. The surrounding area is far away enough from the busy areas but really handy getting from Heathrow by underground as Russell Square station is right around the corner
