The staff were absolutely amazing — honestly, a 10/10. They were incredibly kind, attentive, friendly and quick to help with anything I needed. They made my stay much more pleasant. I had an issue with the safe in my room and they helped me immediately and resolved it very quickly. I also really appreciated that I was given the room I had requested. The room itself was a good size and the bed was comfortable.
Unfortunately, the hotel itself feels very old, dated and poorly maintained. The bathrooms, especially the ones near the reception area, were very old and did not feel clean. The overall atmosphere in the hotel was not very pleasant, and I decided not to have breakfast there because the dining area and general atmosphere did not make me feel comfortable.
Another thing that really bothered me was that there were regularly people sitting in the lounge area near the lifts, often without shoes, spending hours there and then leaving in the evening. I cannot say who they were or whether they were guests, but seeing this every day made the reception area feel untidy and uncomfortable, especially considering the price of the hotel.
The condition and atmosphere of the hotel really need improvement.

The food at breakfast was lovely but the staff left much to be desired.
They were not attentive to what we requested and insisted on placing us where they wanted. We wanted a quite place with sofa

Everything about it was fine until after I left
They have charged me twice for the room which was £300. I booked this hotel as a treat for my parter. We are not wealthy people so £300 is a lot of money to loose. They say it will be returned at the end of the day but some people can’t go a a few days loosing an extra £300. What a ridiculous way to charge.
