The location is great, the staff at the breakfast was friendly and helpful as well as the gentleman at reception that checked us out. The breakfast was good with a variety of choices. The bed in the room was comfy. We liked the fact that access to the spa and executive lounge is only with your room key.
The check in was underwhelming with no standards followed. Only one key for the room issued. I later came to get one more key and was asked no security questions to confirm my identity. The hotel's architecture is absolutely terrible, I would guess because it looks like it used to be an office building. There are countless fire doors everywhere which might be due to fire safety regulations but still too many. The building feels cold literally and figuratively. The food options in the restaurant are limited. It is quite cold while sitting there eating as the wall on the side of it is all glass, as it is the roof of the building. Only one of the main lifts in the building was working and it was extremely slow. The bathroom in the room has no respirator and only one dental kit was present. I booked an executive room especially for the executive lounge which turned out to be rather disappointing. This is the first time I am staying in a hotel that has its executive lounge on the ground floor where the reception and concierge are. And the supposed stunning views of the cathedral for us were non existent really. The lounge itself is small with drinks on offer like alcoholic and non-alcoholic beer, concentrated juices? , varieties of Coca Cola. There were different nuts snacks and some salami/cheese platter, fruit basket and hot drinks available. Altogether disappointing and not worth the money. Our stay was okay but definitely not worth what we paid for an executive room and the stars of this hotel. We would not recommend or return to this particular hotel.

Hotel went above and beyond and made it a really special birthday treat for my 12 year old daughter.
They upgraded our room free of charge and decorated it with balloons and gifts.

One lift wasn't working which made it slow to go up and down to rooms. But that is tiny complaint.

The location was great. Next to the Thames, St.Paul and on all the transit lines and buses. Gym was great!
Pool had strong smell of chemicals and was extremely busy. Same with the sauna and steam room.
