From my perspective, this hotel was fantastic. It exceeded my expectations from what I'd read in the overall Booking.com reviews and score. It was close to everything that I was interested in. I was able to walk everywhere - to and from Kings Cross Station (with very little luggage), the British Museum (just around the corner), the West End Theatres, Trafalgar Square etc. I would emphasise that I was in London to be a tourist and walk around everywhere. The staff were all extremely helpful and pleasant from the welcome at check-in to collecting my luggage from storage at the end. Breakfast options were more than adequate with good options. The room had all amenities and was very comfortable and peaceful with no noise disruptions - I was on the 9th floor! I would definitely stay again the next time I'm in London (especially for further visits to the British Museum). Thank you for making my stay so relaxing and enjoyable.

Good location, nice cocktails and drinks at the bar
Uncomfortable bed and synthetic bedding that made the room very hot. AC didn’t work, unpleasant smell, and very small bathroom. Decor was tasteless. Surprised by the high star rating.
