  Disappointing

The location was perfect. Literally right next door to the Fenchurch St station. A couple minutes walk from the Big Red Bus Hop on Hop off bus stop on the red line. Many places to eat close by.

There were several things I was not happy about during my stay.
1. Poor view: My room overlooked the platform of Fenchurch Street Station. Even worse, there was a walkway directly outside the window that appeared to be used by workers for breaks (judging by the number of cigarette butts). Because of this, we could never open the curtains for privacy.
2. TV issues: Upon arrival, the TV wasn’t working properly. When I called the front desk, I was told the hotel didn’t have cable and that the only option in some rooms was to use the Chromecast with my phone. Later, after visiting the front desk in person, I was told something different, and the TV was either repaired or replaced while we were out.
3. Room odor and sealed windows: When we returned to our room after it was cleaned (saw the cleaning person leaving our room) there was a strong “onion-like” body odor smell. I tried to air it out but discovered the windows couldn’t be opened. Oddly enough, the other room I booked across the hall (same room type) had windows that did open.
4. Room inconsistency: Both rooms were listed as “Superior King Rooms,” but mine was noticeably smaller. Also when a room is called a "King...." it usually means a King size bed. I read it had a Queen, but just saying.
5. Bathroom condition: The shower knob was being held on with tape, and the bathroom felt outdated.
6. Temperature control: The thermostat didn’t work, and there was no way to control the room temperature.
Leo’s restaurant: We tried Leo’s on our last night. Several menu items were unavailable, and it took over 45 minutes for our food to arrive after ordering.
Overall, these issues are not what I would expect from a 4-star hotel.

Perfect location, very helpful staff, especially big thanks to Jackie who looked after us so wonderfully. The room was clean and comfortable, with the exact view we had booked, and there was absolutely nothing to complain about. We will always choose Leonardo for our stays in London. We truly enjoyed our three-night stay. Thank you!

Our room was plush and spacious and it had an amazing views of the Tower of London and the bridge. We absolutely enjoyed the three sauna’s, the pool and the jacuzzi especially after a very long day of walking. The property had all the amenities that we needed. It had two nearby train stations and the mainline stopped at most of the touristy city parts of London, and it was a short walk to the ferry so you could stop at other touristy sights along the river as well.

Fantastic location to explore London from, only a 15 minute walk from London Liverpool Street station. The buffet breakfast selection was excellent, something for everyone.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel — everything met my expectations from start to finish. The facilities were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the service was excellent. I’d especially like to give credit to James Mallett, who was incredibly receptive and helpful throughout my stay. He went above and beyond to ensure everything went smoothly and made me feel genuinely welcome. Thanks to his professionalism and friendly attitude, my experience was even more enjoyable.
Highly recommend this hotel, and a big thank-you again to James for the outstanding service!
