Disappointing
The spa ladies were lovely and the room cleaning lady. Thank you for taking care of me.
Both Robes in room were too small. I was left waiting for 4 hours in my first attempt to get a larger size and told it was one size. Eventually I got one. Neighboring rooms smoking drugs where I was offered to change rooms but I didn’t want to pack to unpack and re pack again. It really spoilt my stay. The staff kept patrolling the floor to ensure it didn’t happen again.

Wonderful
The location was great for getting to the sites. One bus less than a five minute walk gets you to Trafalgar Square and you can walk to all the other places like the theater district, Covent Garden, etc. around the hotel are pubs and cafes etc. The food at the restaurant was awesome as was the view from the room.
As others have said, the bathroom is a little dated. We had a leak in the ceiling and one day it rained all day and water came through. I mentioned it to the guest relations lady and she said they would send someone up right away, which they didn’t. I suspect they know of the leak and just figure the guests are passing rough and they feign ignorance every time. See the picture… it is not a new leak. I put down one of the robes to absorb the water and muffle the sound.

Very Good
Location was excellent, centrally located, great view of the London Bridge and Thames River. Rooms were spacious and comfortable beds! The highlight and what made the hotel great was the service; especially Jaz the concierge was awesome!! He went the extra mile to assist us, from making great recommendations, securing bus tour and theater tickets!
The property was great, but Leo’s restaurant food, bar and, breakfast was just ok.

Everyone was very friendly and helpful with everything we ask for. We were a little bit early and they did everything they could to make us comfortable until we could get into our room. The staff was very helpful with how to get around London. I was disappointed about the free transportation to the hotel from the airport. No one seemed to know about that. I chose this hotel for a second time because that was a nice perk but did not receive reimbursement for my travel. Thank you so much. enjoy our time in London.

location near tube station was very useful. nice restaurants nearby in Docklands. London bridge and tower are very close, though pretty much everything else is a tube ride or two away.
I paid 60 pounds extra to check in early and a got a small dark room immediately overlooking the street (privacy?), with a mushy mattress and NO HEAT (it's December!). They "upgraded" me to another room, slightly bigger. The heat controls did not work. Once those were fixed, the HEAT DID NOT WORK. They then "upgraded" me to a quiet and nice room with heat (!) that worked. Reception was wonderful and as helpful as they could be under the circumstances.

The staff at the Hotel and Restaurant were amazing. The Hotel is in a great location, two minute walk to Tower Station and has a restaurant on site. We booked our room that came with Breakfast, which met more than our expectations and was super convenient. Our room had a great view of the old Roman Wall located in the courtyard.
The Pillows! Not used to having such a hard pillow, but i got used to it. Also some could say the walls were a little thin on sound proofing, but I think it just might be some guests are not as courteous as others.

Poor
Location was OK, although with the new London road layout, a pain to get to by car.
Need a shower grab handle for safety. Their internet info says parking only for blue badge holders, which we could not find, so parked in the street. In the morning was shown the entrance, but its very crooked and hard to drive in, in a bigger car. Anyway, that evening, it was full of NON blue badge cars. I complained, and the gent on the desk, then said its for everyone, first come first served. I only booked this hotel because of their stated parking. It costs so much more by taxi, as so far out. Normally we stay on the Strand, or close by. End result, 4 parking tickets, due to their lies. Air con not working, so the evening gent brought us a portable heater, saying it would be fixed the next day- yes, you guessed - not fixed by the time we left.

The location is excellent, could not be better. Loved the Roman wall view.
The room was abysmal – dated, run-down, funky bathroom.

The view was a little disappointing as we got the tube as a view. We couldn't open any windows and it was so stuffy in the room, the air con wouldn't turn off

Room 609, where I stayed, is right next to the lift, which made metallic rumbling noises throughout the night. When I reported the issue, the staff’s response was extremely poor and unhelpful.

Location
They put me in a makeshift room. It looked like it used to be a conference room. Also was handicapped accessible-which I didn't ask for. A big disappointment than previous stays at Leonardo hotels. Then there was a need to place a deposit before being able to open and store my personal food in their fridge. This several trips up and down the elevator & only one was working.

I have stayed at the Leonardo Royal Hotel several times before, and until now my experiences had always been positive. Unfortunately, this stay was unexpectedly disappointing and did not reflect the level of service I believed the hotel offered, especially to returning guests. When I checked in, I told the receptionist that I would be going to the pool first before heading to my room. She kindly informed me that my luggage would be taken directly to my room. However, she did not inform me—at any point—that my room was located outside the main hotel building, in a completely separate structure that requires going outdoors and climbing several flights of stairs. Because of this lack of information, I naturally assumed my room was in the same building where I had stayed on previous visits. After finishing at the spa, with wet hair, I attempted to go up to my floor. Only then did a staff member tell me that the reason my floor did not appear was because my room was not in that building at all, but in an external annex that requires walking outside in the cold. By that time, the spa had already closed, so I could not dry my hair. I have a compromised immune system and can easily get sick from sudden exposure to cold air, so this was particularly worrying—and completely avoidable had I been properly informed. Additionally, I have a chronic medical condition affecting my back and pelvic area that makes climbing stairs very difficult. My assigned room requires going up what feels like three to four flights of stairs, which is physically painful for me. No one at reception asked whether I could manage stairs or whether I had any health limitations, even though these factors can significantly affect a guest’s safety and comfort. To be fair, one of the team members kindly offered to help me with my luggage during checkout the next day, but this does not change the fact that accessing the room itself is challenging for me regardless of whether I am carrying bags or not.
