Great location, lovely staff and they went above and beyond to celebrate a personal milestone for us.
The bathrooms could do with an upgrade. To get into the shower you have to basically climb over the toilet and edge of the bath. The water was either boiling hot or freezing cold. There was no in between.

Loved pretty much everything - the way we were looked after from the check-in desk (Jackie was truly amazing!), the room was a triumph, the spa and pool was a delight, etc.
I wouldn’t say I didn’t like it, but the only thing I felt was pretty average relative to the rest of the property was the atmosphere in the restaurant - just felt middle of the road, versus the rest which felt luxurious.

Staff were courteous and helpful. Good variety at breakfast. Comfortable and clean in a great location. Excellent sized swimming pool, fantastic hot tub and stram and sauna rooms were fully functional. Classy decor too!
Unfortunately one lift (out of 3) was not working so resulted in longer waits in a busy hotel. Please note, I am 5ft and found it difficult to climb in and out of the bathtub. We did request a room with a shower but as we booked on the spur of the moment, this was not possible. A couple of hooks in the bathroom to hang towels would not go amiss.

Great value, amazing service, and a team that genuinely delivers. Parts of the building could be more modern, but the atmosphere and experience still shine. The front and restaurant staff were outstanding, and the food hit every mark.
Busy times was hard to get access to the lift, however the stairs was equally fast depending on the floor you are on. Bathroom and pool area could do with some upgrades.

On the middle day of our stay our room wasn't serviced until evening. We also had an issue with the lights in our room.

The room we were given had two large beds opposed to the one extra large bed we booked and we had the best baby free nights sleep in 8 months each in our own beds!
Our room overlooked the station to the rear so we weren’t able to open the window, however we did have aircon so not a total loss!
