Wonderful
I liked the hotel staff – they were very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was good, tasty, and varied. I like the scent of the hotel. The room was cleaned and the towels were changed daily.

Rooms clean & comfortable.
Reception staff were very helpful & polite
No Gluten free bread option at breakfast for both mornings we stayed... Breakfast was nice but slow service when they had low stock. Had to ask to replenish mugs/cutlery. Very busy at 9am but it did state it usually is but that was our choice not their fault.

It was a convenient location for me and my son to stay as we were visiting the Minecraft Experience, and the hotel was only a 12 minute drive from there.
I thought it was overpriced for what it was. £20 to park my car even though we’d already spent £150 on a room. Sleep was disturbed throughout the night by slamming doors. The breakfast was an experience; busy, unorganised, the layout didn’t make sense (tea and coffee at one end, and milk far at the other end), there were long queues, and our food was cold by the time we sat down.

I love choosing the Holiday Inn Express. I always get the same regardless of the location: A nice comfortable bed and pillows, a quiet place to sleep with black out curtains, aircon. Tea and coffee facilities with a kettle. Nicely clean room and bathroom. Food buffet in the morning. Kind and patient staff. Loved it!

slightly bad point only 1 lift working and its small. huge amount if stairs to climb

The room was clean and big enough, had warm food for breakfast not just tea and pastries, close to the DLR line
The light above the toilet kept flickering which might be dangerous for people with light sensitivities, the restaurants has a VERY limited selection (the pizza place around the corner was quite good), one of the lifts wasnt working and it would get quite busy when people were coming down in the morning

I would have liked if you had fresh fruit with the yogurt rather than the tinned fruit and another flavour of yogurt as well.
The dinner we had the night we arrived. I felt it was a dinner that was bought in, microwaved and served up. It wasn’t freshly cooked. Also there was limited choice of alcohol with no white wine available at all.

My son cot didn't have mattress. They put dirty duvet under cover ...also no blanket for him . I was very disappointed about that.

Lovely and clean, bed and bedding were so comfortable. Sound proofing was amazing as with the window open the traffic was loud but when closed we couldn’t hear a thing! We had everything we needed, even an iron & ironing board in the room.
