I was warmly welcomed by staff at check-in and at breakfast. Any issues experienced were quickly and efficiently sorted.

I have stayed here in the past and always been impressed by the cleanliness and smart appear of the rooms. However this time I was disappointed. The bathroom is quite dated, the room was a lot smaller and beds. The pillows were very flat and only 1 each

The hotel is dirty. The quality offered does not match the price you pay. The only saving grace is the professionalism of the reception staff.

Well linked to the City (tube, bus, walking distance from Kings Cross Station)
Our triple room was very small, the window couldn't be opened (not even vasistas to get some fresh air in the room in the morning!!!). When we checked-in we were 20 min early and we didn't get our welcome cookies. We were asked if we wanted to add breakfast to our reservation and that we could pay at checkout, but then we got 2 'minatory' letters slipped under our bedroom door during the first 2 nights asking to get in touch with the reception to settle the bill asap. As if we could leave without paying, that's quite rude and offensive. On top of this, I never got my deposit back.

The location was good
The lobby and bar constantly smelt of fish, we were given a room that smelt like a sewer, we asked to change rooms and the beds were very uncomfortable, the pillows had no structure, they were like pancakes. We came back after a busy day in London and neither of our key cards worked.

Great location, close to loads of shops and nice restaurants. 2 mins away from the underground.
Room was comfortable and clean. Staff were really nice and helpful.
Double bed was quite small and the soundproofing wasn't great, you could hear people in the corridors quite loudly, luckily the staff were really helpful and moved us to a quieter room.

Disappointing
Comfortable bed and pillow, decent shower pressure
Despite contacting the hotel weeks in advance to merge two bookings, with the same room type in both bookings, and double checking this at the time of the ceck-in, I received a text message the next morning that i had to change rooms. I explained that I didn't have time for this because of a conference and business meetings, but I didn't receive a response. When calling them for the status, they couldn't help me and referred me to the reception. So I had to come back from the conference to the reception, where they told me that I didn't have to change rooms anymore. Then, on the third day, the card wasn't working anymore and I had to reactivate the cards again. Also, a large bag of trash was in front of my door in one instance.

Good question wish I knew the answer
Heating problem that went on and on and the Hotel did not communate with the guest in regard to what was going on, it was the guest who had to keep making contact plus when we entered the room see the door that covers the fridge door was not fitted and draw handles at an angle expect this kind of thing from a 3 star but a 4 nope.
