Central situation.
Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. Blessing was wonderfully thoughtful.
I booked three rooms in February in order to have the three rooms adjacent to one another. I was very disappointed that despite EIGHT months notice, the rooms that I had booked were not adjacent, and were also ON DIFFERENT FLOORS. As one was a lady travelling on her own , this was not good.

The location was perfect, just a short walk to Westminster Abbey, Houses of Parliament and Big Ben. And a tube station right opposite to travel around London. The room was perfect and very very comfortable. The staff were exceptional, they looked after us and even gave us a gift and card for our anniversary. Breakfast was sensational. Loved it all.
Unfortunately there were some homeless people sleeping in doorways opposite the hotel outside our bedroom window who were very loud and fighting which kept us awake til 4am. We did notify reception.

Liverpool FC stayed at the hotel, they didn't vacate there rooms in time for a 3pm check in. got in to our room at 5pm we had a table booked for 6pm at Tom Kerridges restaurant which we had to cancel. very disappointed we got room service and the food was terrible. VERY disappointed.

The location is great and you can start your walk to the landmarks of London when you step outside the hotel. Room was clean and had everything. The food (breakfast and dinner) was well presented and delicious. Would recommend the hotel!

Fantastic quiet rooms - saw housekeeping going into a room when I walked down corridor to my own room and the door slammed behind her, yet I hadn’t heard any doors slamming AT ALL whilst inside my room. Large beautiful marble bathrooms even in standard rooms. Clean and well-equipped rooms, good bed. Quality slippers and towels. The Blue Boar pub (great staff, takes special dietary requirements very seriously). Good friendly concierge.
Was woken up in the middle of the night by front desk contacting me about payment, despite already paying for the room in full before checking in.
Bad quality toiletries - showered on Sunday morning before departure and still can’t wash off the strong chemical smell from the shampoo today (Wednesday). Towels (although good quality and clean) smelled sulphuric.
Breakfast, although with quality ingredients and served with fine China and silver cutlery, was not cooked properly (mushroom was dry and undercooked, tomato was also not special).
Bar was not good on a previous trip - asked how many mls in a glass that I paid for, then asked them to measure the amount and the Polish lady had poured me less than half what I was paying for. So even though there was a bar next to the lobby, we didn’t want to go back to the bar after my previous discovery, so we missed having a lobby bar where we could have a drink before dinner, etc.
