Stayed in a room on the top floor and they were having work done so that workers could look into our room unless the curtains were closed so not very private

Friendly, welcoming staff that explained everything clearly. Even mentioned where to go for food - really helpful.
Price is affordable, bed and bathroom clean.
The air con was much needed in the heat!
Sadly, I didn't get much sleep - I didn't realise just how close to the railway tracks it was. A room for very heavy sleepers only, I feel, and would be good if it were mentioned in the listing.
Although the bed was clean and the bathroom looked clean, the kettle and the remote control had a visible layer of dust on them. Put me off making myself a cup of tea and made me a little suspicious of just how clean the room was... The reading light wasn't working either.

The property exceeded my expectations. I needed a one night stay within easy walking to Victoria Coach Station, and this was literally a 2 min walk across the road. Check-in is 2pm. I arrived around 11am hoping to leave my luggage. A room was available and I was checked in. The staff were amazing - friendly, helpful. The rooms are located in several buildings in the street, mine was across the road. A member of staff brought my luggage across and directed me to the elevator. Yes, even in the beautiful Georgian buildings, they had elevators. I had expected a small room and it was quite small, but perfectly designed. There was more storage space than in many larger rooms. The wardrobe was supplied with hangers - the safe was also in there. The desk area had useful drawers and a cupboard. The room had a large window overlooking the street; the safety chain allowed the window to open a little, enough to enjoy the warm summer air. The bed was clean and very comfortable. The en-suite was very well designed with a good sized shower (doors that didn't leak), the wash basin was set into a worktop with storage cupboard and very useful shelves next to the wall mirror. Even though I was there for only one night, I would have been happy to stay for longer.
The location was perfect for Victoria Coach Station, as well as Victoria bus terminal and Victoria Underground. Many central locations are within an easy walk. Even with its very central location, the area was very quiet and safe. My time was too short to go far; I found beautiful walks nearby.
There was nothing that I didn't like. A small fridge would have been useful, but for one night that was not a problem.
