Pleasant
The location is excellent, and staff is accommodating (early checkin possible, storing luggage before or after, even shower facilities available if you arrive before your room is ready). I highlighted during the booking that I was pregnant and requested a room that is accessible without stairs. I ended up receiving the accessible room, which was spacious (especially compared to the size of rooms in London). Due to the inconvenience of renovations, currently they are offering complementary breakfast and some chocolate and wine - which is a nice touch.
The hotel is currently under renovation. The entrance therefore is not correctly shown on Google maps - this is something they could have warned us about prior to arrival. Particularly if you have a lot of luggage, or you have difficulty walking, this seems preventable. The beds looked very comfortable but were the opposite - the mattress is worn out, and in a double bed both parties ended up rolling in the middle. Our room was very outdated - didn't look like those on the photos. The accessible bathroom had a built in seat that you can pull from the wall, but I would have never dared sitting on it, didn't look like it was possible to clean it properly.

The location is very central. Most of London’s famous attractions are within walking distance, and others are only a five-minute Tube ride away.
a bit expensive

Disappointing
Location and practical rooms.
Construction work ongoing, negative impact on facilities. Very noisy AC, continuous water sounds.

The location is definitely the hotel's biggest highlight.
The bed was very comfortable, which made for a restful night's sleep.
There is a young woman at the front desk who is genuinely helpful and friendly, and she made us feel welcome.
Unfortunately, our room smelled of urine. We changed rooms, but the second room had the same odor.
We were told it might be because the property is old.
Breakfast was very disappointing. The coffee was instant, and the selection was quite limited, consisting of bananas, tangerines, and yogurt.
The elevator wasn't working properly one day. It repeatedly went up and down and stopped between floors.

Good
The hotel was in a good situation, close to transport links .
There was a significant amount of building works going on . Breakfast was offered but supplies ran out before the end of service. At quarter to 9 members of my family only had yoghurt and fruit.
Coffee was Luke warm .
But the worst thing was we had no hot water for our shower in the morning.
So I paid £516 for the two rooms which I felt was not good value for money .

Wonderful
The room was big, comfortable and clean. The hotel is quiet and at the same time easily accessible to metro, pubs, restaurants and other. So it's perfect for sightseeing, a good night's rest in heart of the city.
The hotel was undergoing renovations, I didn't know until I arrived. We were offered complimentary breakfast, chocolates and wine. The rooms are very clean, but you can tell that the furniture is a bit outdated.

The location is fantastic.
Refurbishment was being carried out and there was no restaurant or bar available. The Manager gave us a discount as having stayed there previously I was disappointed as it was supposed to be a birthday treat for my partner.
It will be fabulous when the refurbishment has been completed.
