Hotel is in a great area. There are direct trains from Gatwick to City Thameslink which is a 2-minute walk away. It is near a number of tube stations.
The only thing that was a bit annoying was the lifts were slow to come.

I arrived at 08-30 on a very wet Friday morning. I was greeted by a lady who gave me access to my room, an upgrade and a complimentary coffee. What a start! The bed was very comfortable.

It was a beautiful place with a lovely interior — I especially enjoyed the portable radio and listened to British rock all evening
There was no fridge in the room, so it might not be convenient if you plan to store food

We asked to change the sheets and they said they did but when we came back we found an item of clothing that we had unknowingly left inside the sheets the day before still inside the sheets

The property is great, the hotel in general had a nice aesthetic, common areas like the lounge on the ground floor. Has a gym which is a plus.
The room was really dirty. The bathroom had stains and the towels had not been cleaned properly. Worst of all was the shower and toilet facility. When showering the drain didn’t not take the water in and made a small pool in the bathroom. There is a 50 pounds deposit that is not mentioned in booking. They said it’s returned immediately but 5 days later no return.
