Disappointing
Not much. This is not a good property or value for money. Things just don’t work properly. Middle Eight around the corner is £50 a night more and a vastly better experience. Spend a little more and enjoy your stay.
The air conditioning didn’t work in the room. It’s 35 degrees outside. Reception promised twice to get maintenance to fix it. No one came. Checked out early. Found people walking up and down the stairs cause the lift was broken. Staff clearly struggling with a property that has issues. Go anywhere else. Picture of the air conditioning not working.

This property is great value. Large, clean, comfortable rooms. Good water pressure and temperature. Well-equipped kitchen. A stone's throw from Holborn station, LSE, walking distance to the Strand. Will stay again.
The description of the property on booking.com is inaccurate on at least three counts. I had a classic studio room. It promised: - A work desk *and* a dining table. My room had no work desk. When I pointed this out, I was told I could choose between a work desk *or* a dining table. I had planned on using both, and had to adjust. That is not what the word *and* means. - A tea/coffee maker. There is no coffeemaker in the room. The word they are looking for is a "kettle". - 25 square metres of space. I measured it. Try 18. Even with all of that, the property is still great value, comfortable, functional, clean, and does what it does very well. But it outright lies on its booking.com description, and that's just not acceptable.

Very centrally located close to an underground station (2 lines) and busses. Also close to multiple supermarkets and in walking distance to the British museum. Very friendly and helpful staff and nice size well equipped room. We had a few requests, and Melanie was very helpful in making these happen. That said, all the staff were very nice and helpful. The hotel even provides umbrellas for those rainy days. This centrally located hotel is conveniently situated near an underground station (two lines) and buses. It’s also close to several supermarkets and within walking distance of the British Museum. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, and our room (executive 1 bedroom) was spacious and well-equipped. Melanie, in particular, went above and beyond to accommodate our requests. The entire staff is warm and welcoming, and the hotel even provides umbrellas for those rainy days.
There was only one working lift, which was slow at times. So we used the stairs a few times which was probably healthier for us.

Overall, very good stay.
It would have been nice if the essentials for the use of the kitchen were provided e.g. salt, pepper, oil. Doors were being slammed up until midnight which was very disturbing.

The apartment was very clean, all amenities were functional and location is great (2 minutes walk from Holborn station) - simply, couldn’t ask for more.
No cleaning services, if you plan on staying longer than 2 nights - it’s worth the added cost.
