The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, especially Helen. The rooms were beautifully decorated and quirky. The breakfast, which was served in bed was exceptional.
There was nothing to dislike.

Breakfast and location were excellent.
AC was not working and portable unit was not terribly effective, and stopped working in the middle of the night. Luckily the weather had cooled down a bit but it was still stufffy even with windows open. Also a strong chemical smell in the room.

A lovely cosy room. Comfortable bed. Good shower/bath facilities. Added terrace made breakfast a delight to eat privately with family. Location was ideal for where we needed to be and very quiet.
No tea/coffee facilities in room, you need to ask.

Hotel was in a great location, very close to Liverpool St, surrounded by restaurants, shops and just a short walk from Spitalfields Market. Lots of character in all the rooms, very happy with suite, comfortable, quiet and well appointed. Honesty bar is a great idea
Tea/coffee facilities in the room would be good, water should have been available rather than have to pay 2+ from the minibar

The room and the hotel is made up with a lot of character! The details were particularly well thought-out and made for a stunning room.
A few things:
1. The room did not have any complimentary water or tea/coffee which is unheard of in the UK.
2. The staff were a little unfriendly. My partner and I had just got married and were spending the night at Batty Langley's as a treat. But we didn't get as much as a "congratulations" from the staff.
