The location is great for train access to Gatwick via Thames Link very easy access to Theatre land and Covent Garden. The staff are super efficient and friendly. We had an anniversary that we were celebrating so were upgraded and they even delivered a small decorated very nice chocolate cake to our room. This is about the 5th time we have stayed at the hotel it never disappoints. Our favourite aspect is the fact that once you enter the court yard its is like an oasis in busy London as it is so quiet and relaxing
the beds are normally fabulously comfortable but maybe the mattresses have been changed recently as the bed was a little harder than usual

The restaurant was good and the location was pretty commendable. Practically everything else was pretty much motel-standard. This isn't really a proper hotel. The bathroom/toilet was disproportionately huge but there wasn't much space in the living/sleeping area of the room. It couldn't have properly speaking been for handicap access because a wheelchair would not be able to pass through the spaces to get to the bathroom/toilet. Out of the two lifts, one was not working for at least two weeks. Several of the hotel reception staff members were polite, but in general the service and coordination amongst them were quite poor and slow. I was even told to bring down my laundry myself by one of them, even after repeatedly questioning. I attribute all this to general poor quality of management and training. And the lighting in the room is awful. The room was dark and visibility was so low I had difficulty packing. Finally - the fire alarm went off during both stays I had there (one for a few days and the other for two weeks).

Great room and very accommodating with request for 1st floor room. Friendly front desk and restaurant team. We are regular guests here as love location and comfort of rooms and great team working here
Unfortunately woken up at 6am because the air conditioning unit switched on. It was noisy in an incredibly quiet room. And didn't love my cooked breakfast today. Although staff immediately offered to replace it.
