The staff were friendly, attentive, and clearly tried their best, so I have no complaints about the service.
I honestly don’t quite share the widespread enthusiasm for The Adria. Perhaps staying in such a small boutique hotel simply isn’t my preferred type of experience. One thing I can say with certainty is that the Underground runs directly beneath the hotel. At least in my room, I could hear and feel the room—and even the bed—vibrating whenever a train passed. This is not something you expect from a hotel positioning itself as a five-star property. Everything else is probably fairly typical for a small boutique hotel: very compact, intimate, somewhat quirky, and with almost no food options. The only meal available is breakfast, which I found rather average.
