Disappointing
Chose hotel based on location for the proximity to the wedding venue I was due to attend.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
Didn't include breakfast in my stay so can't comment on that.
The overall standard of the hotel was not what you'd expect for the location. Although grand on the outside, there was much that was sub standard indoors e.g. very small room for a double, uncomfortable bed, door handle dropping off, very sticky door lock, no locks on the window and very cheap stick on tiling in bathroom with a plastic shower cubicle.
Also, although clean, the whole room including ensuite was filled with the smell of bleach. Not the most welcoming scent.
Biggest bugbear - the hotel is not fully accessible which isn't made clear on the website; including a flight of stairs to the hotel entrance, no ramp, and no lifts inside to reach upper floors.

Handsome building, good facilities, good location for Aigburth.
It was fine, though I was surprised when the damage deposit turned out to be actually taken from my account (to be refunded later). I'm used to this being reserved but not taken at the time.

Great location, easy to park, decent sized comfortable room, dog friendly, staff were friendly and we were an able to check in early.

Hotel is in a great location and a grand old house. Staff are good. Room was a good size.
The room was warm and no way of cooling, couldn't crack the window open. The bathroom was small and a bit worn out. Needed a refresh. Lock was broken, holes in the wall, decor needed redoing, but it was clean and functional.

Lovely setting, beautiful building, with a well stocked bar. If the weather had been better it would have been nice to sit outside watching the sun set over the park.
The shower grouting was discoloured. The mattress was not at all supportive and the room was quite warm

This is the second time we have stayed at Sefton Park and was amazing at how much work has been put into renovations. The artworks from Stuart Sutcliffe was a real bonus.
Also - the VEGAN breakfast that included fresh avocado! ALL the staff were lovely and helpful. The park opposite is great for a gentle stroll round too. We'll stay here again when we next visit family in Liverpool

Location, the staff, the breakfast. Building. Very quiet. Information surrounding Stuart Suttcliffe of the original Beatles.
Window didn’t work so couldn’t keep open. So I was a bit hot at night.

It was in a very lovely location, 10 minutes walk from local shops and takeaways/restaurants, and right across from Sefton Park. Small but adequate car park and loved having a room overlooking it for peace of mind. Room was extremely spacious and the staff were friendly. Fantastic beer garden with very reasonably priced bar.
The room could have been a little cleaner (cobwebs, dust and hairs), the roof in the bathroom was mouldy and leaked when there was heavy rain.

Wonderful
Lovely staff made us immediately welcome. The decor is tasteful and the room comfortable. Parking was easy, and breakfast was good. A nice bar area too. We'd certainly stay there again.
The room decor was slightly dated, but not enough to put us off staying again.
