We had a fab room with lovely high ceilings and big bay window. Very comfortable bed and good strong shower. Good selection of tea coffee hot chocolate. Nice touch having sweeties out for birthday of hotel and lemon water available free at reception. Staff very helpful and pleasant. No problem leaving bags safely following early arrival and also on check-out day.

There was no advice about how to get breakfast so I just left without as staff were busy in the morning and I wrongly assumed it would be obvious when I checked in

The hotel has ceased operation under the previous owners, and was seized by the landlord, meaning that the reservation was not honoured and alternative arrangements had to be made last minute. Booking.com facilitated a refund rapidly, but obviously the overall experience was suboptimal.

Great location, excellent helpful staff and very clean. We had a fridge in the room which was a welcome bonus. A member of staff brought us a bucket of ice for our drinks too. Well equipped room with coffee maker, kettle, dressing gowns and slippers. We didn't use the dressing gowns, but used the slippers. Ironing board and iron available too within the room. Comfortable bed.

Perfect location for all the city facilities. Staff very polite and friendly.
- The hotel is very tired and in need of refurbishment. - Bed was very uncomfortable and pillows as old as the worn out carpets! - Constant smell circulating from the bathroom/drainage. - got email to confirm there is a discount at Q parking, so parked there, but only to be told that has to be prebooked! - room did not get refreshed even though we requested it. we have stayed here 6 times previously, due to loction. Each time getting generally worse, we will not stay here again now. it is poor value, poor quality and uncomfortable
