The breakfast was fantastic and the chef was amazing.
The hotel was closed so we were sent to another hotel by the docklands and it was cold and the AC heater didnt work. It took hours for us to warm up the room by then it was time to check out.

Wonderful
The bed and bedding was very comfortable. The location was excellent right on Sefton park and close to Lark Lane for great breakfast, brunch and dinner. Free parking was a bonus.

Bed was comfortable and shower was good.
This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had in my 64-year life. This place has no business pretending to be a hotel. It is a dump, with non-existent service, terrible accommodations, and absolutely nothing to recommend it. I feel completely robbed of what I paid, and will not use Booking.com again as a result unless they offer me a refund. I would start legal action, but the hotel is in another country than where I live. A complete and total rip off.
We arrived at 7:00 pm and there was no one to check us in. There was a sign to call a number where no one answered. When someone showed up about 15 minutes later, they were rude and seemed like they had just woken up. They gave us the worst, smallest room in the entire place (a smaller room would not have fit a bed of any size). The elevator was “broken” but looked like it hadn’t worked in 20 years. We had to carry our bags (with 2 weeks of clothes etc.) up a long flight of stairs, through a door, down a half flight, through another door, then up a half flight to our room. Had there been a fire or smoke situation we would have had to jump out the window to survive.
Speaking of windows, there was only half a curtain on the window. We slept with the electric light from the parking lot pouring into our room. There was a sign in the bathroom that the tub was dangerously slippery “so we have provided a shower mat for your safety.” There was no such mat, nor was there even a shower mat for the bathroom floor. There was one hand towel. There were no services at all and no one to speak to because whoever checked us in was gone and unavailable as soon as we got to our room. As we were leaving the next morning, part of the ceiling in the hallway caved in, just missing us as we walked by. A disgusting, dangerous and terrible place to stay, and not even reasonably priced. This is a scam and a rip off, avoid it like the plague.

Location was walking distance from stores and restaur@nts.
This was under new management and had been refurbished, however were still ironing out things it seemed.
We had trouble with access codes to our. room. Otherwise not a bad deal for the price. Bed was not very comfortable.

Wonderful
Surprised to see this hotel has dipped below a 7 rating on booking com. Some of the decor is tired but it's a really lovely place with a chilled atmosphere overlooking the park and very near Lark Lane. Parking is easy, rooms are comfortable, breakfast is excellent and the dining room is so relaxed.

Fantastic location excellent secured parking facilities
Unfortunately we had a very small double room. Needed updating. Regarding old carpet leaking tap old out dated furniture. There was not many staying at the same time us but very noise.

Bad room: extremely small and uncomfortable. Food was bad. Complaints ignored. Staff was non-responsive and rigid. Don't go here. Bad location, also.
Those are the good parts. Oh yeah, they book weddings, so it's noisy until late. Thank you, but this was bad.
