It looked very modern and the location was perfect
To start with there is no reception. You have to do the check in and check out on a machine and if you need anything you have to go to the bar of the hostel. To open the door you either have a code or an online key which takes a while to function and it does not feel safe enough. Once we entered the room we found dirty used towels hanging there. The bed sheets looked cleaned but smelled horribly, like humidity, sweat and dirty feet. We could barely sleep because of the smell. The bathroom wasn’t cleaned properly and after a few uses it started to smell like a public bathroom because of poor ventilation. There is no ac. There was a small fan which was also super dusty. The room was smaller than it seemed which isn’t a big problem but it adds up. We were very disappointed and since there was no reception we had none to complain to or help us.

This hotel was beyond our hopes and dreams! Perfect location! Staff was lovely- bed was comfortable and room was spotless! We absolutely loved our stay here! We were given a top floor room with a full view of Mathew Street! The double windows were perfect to keep the noise down of the bustling area quiet and peaceful and quiet for sleep! Complimentary coffee in the morning g and amazing pizza! We will definitely be back! Great value too!!

Was very noisy as we could not close window - no air condition and the room was very humid. Fan supplied was useless for six people to benefit. Shower room needs mat when you get out not concrete. Had an awful roommate. No consideration for other 4 roommates. Was noisy at 1-2 am. Kept light on - opened curtains, had a long shower at 2.30am then was still noisy afterwards until reprimanded to keep quiet and turn off light.

The location was perfect for us - just yards away from the Cavern Club. The room was a decent size for us. The online check in/out process along with the digital key system was easy to navigate. Nice to have the fan in the room as its been so hot lately.
No staff to speak to so as such we missed out on the breakfast I'd paid for as we hadn't been told when it was or where it would be. Would've been nice to speak to an actual person. We did manage to get a cup of tea at least - but we had to go ask at the bar as milk hadn't been replenished. The girl we spoke to was helpful. The room was really hot though - even with the tower fan that was provided.

I telephoned 01519080098 (Kabannas,Liverpool) on the 18/06/2025 when they allocated me a 6 bed female room for 15/08/2025. I was advised that they changed this room to a suitable one with a lower bunk bed available. I am a 74 year old pensioner and disabled which was the reason for a lower bunk bed being required. I then rang back on 08/08/2025 to ask for confirmation that the room was now amended and that the lower bunk bed was available. I was assured that this room was amended and lower bunk bed was also available. When I arrived on 15/08/2025 the reception staff person (Brendan) was very rude and told me that no room was available to me as the booking was inappropriate for a male person (in the 6 bed female room) After explaining that I had amended that room through the previous telephone calls he said that I needed to prove the amendment and that even if I did there was no room for me. I then spoke to one of the managers who also told me "don't worry we'll refund your money but that's it" I asked for compensation for Kabannas being responsible for not amending the booking despite my phone calls pointing out my need for a suitable room on 2 occasions. He told me "you'll get your refund but nothing else" I asked to speak to the General Manager and he said he was a manager and there was no other senior manager. I was very unhappy with both people I spoke to and they showed no compassion to my problem. I attended a football match that evening and had to sleep rough on a park bench until 6am. Absolutely disgraceful attitude by your staff.

If I was told that you would kept awake until 04:30am with surround noise from live music and loud bays I would not of booked this property - beware no warning is given for £146 I expected something better

Cheap as chips, staff friendly, clean what more can you ask for £24. Okay shared but you get a locker, was worth it just forva shower, a place leavev uggage whilst done sightseeing.
To be honest not ideal if you want an early night slap bang in the middle of the Liverpool City nightlife. Was having difficulty sleeping, was hearing so many live bands, and night clubs music, made for an interesting mash up mix if different music in the late night. Eventually fell asleep, what more does one expect for £24 a night, can't beat the price ideal for party people wanting a drink, enjoy the night life and crash out in a shared accommodation.
