Wonderful
John was a very good host and had some interesting stories to tell. When we arrived, he gave us a sheet with info about things in the area and a little map to the local park which we visited.
The house has a lot of original features and resided in a picturesque street. The room itself was huge and very well appointed. There was a good selection of tea and coffee in the bedroom and the bathroom was very well supplied with everything you could need (even down to mycella water). There was only one minor issue with the bathroom, in that there was nowhere easy to put the shower gel (or hand wash as it had in the label). It's only a very minor thing, but you did have to reach round from the shower to get to it.
The rest of the stay was great, so very happy. breakfast was continental style only, but very good and a nice selection. If you want a fry up for breakfast, this place is not for you. Very good stay and fairly close to Liverpool by car.
We had no issues with the place and was actually one of the nicer ones we stayed at in a journey around parts of the country for a fortnight. That's saying quite a bit.
There was parking on the street outside the house, but if busy, you may have to park a bit further down. We may have been lucky.
A word of warning though: read the terms and conditions as there are extra costs if you check in or out after certain times. We had no issues with this - just a heads up if considering the place

The host was extremely courteous and welcoming. He accommodated my colleague and my different check-in times and the room could not have been more airy or comfortable. I slept very well, the bathroom was immaculate, and breakfast was both delicious and well-served. I could not praise this place too highly.

Huge room, very amenable host, free parking on the street, quality breakfast items, short drive from town and uni. Quiet area. Bedside lights and USB chargers were appreciated. Good shower.
Bed was a bit soft - but I slept fine anyway.

The breakfast was poor. Nothing cooked other than cold boiled eggs meats. Would have liked a cooked breakfast and other guests said the same.

Loved the location, helpfulness of the host, John, and the attentiveness of him and his wife.
Freshness and novelty of the fruit for breakfast. Quality of the other items.
Would have liked a hot option at breakfast. Had a problem with the stairs to the second floor room (other floor rooms all booked).

Very friendly and welcoming host. Well stocked bathroom.
No tele in the room, which was fine but something to note.
Breakfast was very high quality but lacked variety. Can't fault the quality of the food supplied though.
